The first NEW MOON of 2018 is on January 17th!
We have been under some heavily saturated energy in Capricorn with six planets now in the sign at the same time. This is very focused energy that has challenged us to take charge of our lives and make a commitment to taking some sort of action.

Capricorn is an Earth Sign and is ruled by Saturn and is represented by the “Seat Goat.” This is a powerful time to manifest and build something with much potential. Our intentions can actually be realized and seen, so we should remain aware of what energy we’re drawing into ourselves and our world. You might be feeling some pressure now to make decisions and be at a crossroads of some kind. The secret to reaching goals is to have trust and faith in something, but especially in yourself. Don’t let fear lead the way, it takes away your motivation and then you won’t make commitments to reach your goals.

The sign of Capricorn teaches us about Authority, so it knows all about fear and control. This New Moon can teach us how to connect to the authority within ourselves, so we can be in our power and take charge of our lives. This is a time to pull back into our souls and reconnect with our spirit, as our energy can become scattered due to being involved in activities have nothing to do with what we want or need, and our soul path.

Making a strong connection to whatever it is you believe in is important now, this helps you make decisions with integrity that are natural and authentic. When manifesting anything you must first learn how to FEEL what it is you want to create! This is the best time to work on “Setting Intentions” or your “Wish Lists” around calling in your deepest desires. New Moons are always about New Beginnings and this particular New Moon in the sign of Capricorn and the Sun also being in Capricorn is strongly about manifesting! Don’t focus on just what you want, also feel how it would be like if your dreams or wishes come true! And how it feels just to think of them. Ask yourself how you want to feel once you’ve achieved your goals? FEELING is the secret to manifesting or creating magic in your life, not THINKING! Thinking is the what draws the energies to you, yes, but if you really want to make something happen you have to feel it.

There are some rather interesting and powerful planetary connections to this New Moon! First off aggressive Mars in its own sign of soulful Scorpio, forms a supportive aspect to this New Moon, which helps us reach our deepest feelings and desires. Jupiter also in Scorpio is making a precise connection to Pluto in Capricorn. The connection between Scorpio and Capricorn during a New Moon teaches us that if we want to reach any goals here in this physical reality we must first be fueled by our passions! This is about being real and authentic, and focusing on what truly makes you happy, rather than what you think you have to do or following someone else’s wishes or dreams.

Now there are also some challenges when this New Moon squares off with rebellious Uranus, which can bring on chaotic and disrupting energies, which leaves us with no choice but to surrender our control and have some faith or belief in something.

All of us no matter what Zodiac Sign have Capricorn in our own personal “Astrology Birth Chart!” This side of us is being challenged to learn how to master our inner-self, instead of wasting so much energy on trying to control the world around us. If you want to see things as you would like, you must first learn how to work with your Spirit. It always starts with you first, no matter what the problem or case may be!

Often the sign of Capricorn gets picked on as being overly weighty, and to serious or focused on fame and material things. The Horned Goat is used to represent Capricorn because it symbolizes the connection between the physical realms and the deeper waters of consciousness. So as we are in very strong Capricorn terrority right now with so many planets in this sign, we are also strongly connected to our own inner-psychic or awareness, if we learn how to combine that and operate from our heart around anything we do and be compassionate, we can manifest our reality into something amazing!

“A Strong Fresh New Start”

Change is in the air and something new is about to begin!

When a planet shifts into a different Zodiac Sign, that planet has new and fresh energy that is activated. It’s whole environment changes and it’s back to the beginning, so it’s energy is more vital and fresh and its presence is felt.

It is important to know that when a planet enters a new Zodiac sign, especially its own sign or one that it rules, it puts out a very strong, potent energy that again we all experience in some way.

But what is even more important is when a planet comes out of a Zodiac sign that it’s not compatible with or when a planet comes out of its Retrograde phase, its energies are very strong, as it is renewed.

Hang in there with me and this will make more sense, as we just had Venus and Mercury come out of Retro not too long ago, which is Love and Communication!

So basically all of these shifts are a good thing in Astrology, and just one of them can be beneficial to us! But what if all three shifts happen at once?

Well, that is exactly what is happening to Venus the planet that rules over LOVE and often MONEY on June 6th!

Venus will shift into its own sign that it rules, Taurus! This amazingly beautiful energy will affect all of us no matter what your Zodiac Sign!

Venus has spent more than a month in fiery Aries where it just wasn’t able to express itself. So for up to a week after this shift occurs will be a great time for new relationships, renewing love, and starting new jobs or careers.

Now, this influence also can be strong and helpful to us if we are doing something that is representative of the Taurus energy it is in so earthy things like cooking, having family get-togethers or reunions, organizing our lives for ourselves and loved ones both, or doing anything that stimulates the senses. Earthy kind of activities are favored involving things like music, love, sex, food, exercise, family, health, and gardening just to name a few.

This energy can help us focus on starting something for new, as Venus is just at the 1st degree of Taurus, or at the very beginning! Perhaps this is symbolic as Venus can help you find new LOVE or renew existing relationships. It’s a good time to put past hurts and resentments behind you and start a new love affair with your partner if you’ve been having problems this year! It’s time to move forward and forgive and let go of the past, and learn to Love each other again.

This energy also helps us start new relationships and new work. So it can be a wonderful time to get out there and make things happen. With Jupiter also in Libra, we have luck in our relationships.

What’s even more amazing is on the exact same day that all these changes begin, yet another planet is also making a major shift which is rather exciting! On June 6th, Mercury will enter Gemini, it’s own sign. Mercury is going back home after it spent a few weeks in more slowed-down Taurus, which really wasn’t all bad, it just wasn’t very comfortable for speedy Mercury so we all might have been experiencing a mental slow-down during this time. For those of you who write or communicate for a living such as myself, it’s been frustrating, to say the least.

Just like with Venus for up to a week after this shift takes place we can benefit and experience some new energy that helps us communicate better, as we are more intellectually strong under this cycle. This will be a great time for new studies and writing projects! Sigh, I personally can’t wait for this energy to come in.

What if I told you there’s more to this story!

As Venus and Mercury actually make a connection with EACH OTHER right around the same time as they shift into their own signs! Really!

Even though this isn’t the strongest of connections it is rare, as these two planets just don’t meet up as often, so for them to come together now in this kind of energy cousin be considered a blessing!

This means LOVE IS IN THE AIR! As Venus and Mercury meetup in this most meaningful connection, which means it’s influence helps us to express how we feel in a much more soft, kind, gentle, sensual, and loving way. Our words are beautiful and loving, and our thoughts harmonious. This is all about communicating LOVE! So we express more openly and freely how we love one another!

Wait! Don’t stop Reading yet, there’s more!

Also, Mars which is the other half of the “Cosmic Lovers” of the Zodiac to Venus, is entering softer but emotionally sensitive Cancer on June the 4th. Now under normal circumstances Mars being in this very touchy, highly emotional sign isn’t always the best thing, as it’s influence can make all of us feel overly emotional, but since this is happening at the same time as Venus and Mercury’s shift, it actually helps create a very powerful blend of energies.

Mars is always a booster, as it rules over passion and our aggression and that is why it is the other half of the “Cosmic Lovers”. So with Mars in Cancer, it will only add more energy or boost these other energies I’ve been discussing. Under the sign of Cancer, it teaches all of us how to be way more intense, emotional, and focused on what we want. And how to make goals that secure our future.

~Remember all of the energies I have spoken of so far, no matter what your Zodiac SUN SIGN will influence you in some way!

From June 6th through that week, at least try to start something new and important in your life, as this kind of cosmic connection doesn’t happen all the time. This an amazing opportunity to meet with a soul mate or renew an existing relationship. It also can help boost careers and help folks find new jobs!

I suggest finding some time to focus and write down the pen to paper what it is you would like to see happen during that time. What do you want to create? Think of this astrological event as a New Moon, so “Set Intentions” or make out “Wish Lists” about what you would like to see happen next in your life.

If you aren’t too sure what to think of all of this, why not simply try some of the things I am suggesting, the worst that can happen is you don’t see a change for whatever reason, but just what if you do try it and something wonderful or amazing happens for you! I think we all can live with that!

A New “Super” Moon comes together in the sign of mentally active Gemini today, this can be a very powerful influence that we get to bask in all the way through Friday night or very early Saturday morning. If you’re a Gemini or not, it doesn’t matter, as all the signs of the Zodiac will be able to tap into this amazing energy and push their dreams forward!
 
This is a new cycle that creates “New Beginnings”, a New Moon is when the Sun and the Moon meet up and make a powerfully strong harmonious connection that generally is favorable. And both the Sun and Moon are in Gemini this month, which is full of gifts and challenges both but is extremely potent due to being a “Super” New Moon, which means it’s a very powerful energy to create the wishes you desire the most and to actually produce results.
 
The New Moon always has a theme and represents the duality between the Sun and Moon, and the zodiac signs they are currently in, which means we have to figure our how to balance these two energies. Both Mercury and Venus are in their own Signs right now, and this is a great strong, potent energy to harness and to be used for rituals or manifesting work. This New Moon cycle also has some strong astrological challenges coming in with it, however, there is a tense connection coming together now between Mars and Saturn. This combo means roadblocks and obstacles are in our way and can break us down before we can get moving forward, so it takes a whole lot of effort on our part (like climbing a brick wall at times), and we must use whatever skills we have to achieve what we want.
 
In Astrology, as in life, it’s important to understand the nature of the challenges we are facing, to better understand the gifts we each possess that will help us overcome these challenges.
