The Winter Solstice also called Midwinter and Yule falls on Dec 21st 2020, when the Sun leaves the sign of Sagittarius and enters Capricorn through Jan 20, 2021. It is the shortest day of the year, and the longest night in the Northern Hemisphere.
This Cosmic Event officially starts “Capricorn Season.” Happy Birthday to all my Capricorn folks! But remember, this energy affects every one of us.
Hanging out in the darkness we have an amazing opportunity to go within ourselves and connect to our subconscious mind. Make some time today for mediation, reflection, and showing gratitude for anything good that happened in the past year!

The Sun in Capricorn is a time to get motivated and to take care of business. The Cosmos is reminding us to respect the physical world and nature’s laws under this influence. We can have a deeper appreciation for structure and order. Our motivation comes from a deeper need to be responsible, as our ambitions and respect for law and order are strong. Clear boundaries are drawn out, and simple rules are followed, which helps us feel more in control of ourselves and our lives. Simple everyday tasks and responsibilities are easily completed and taken more seriously.
All of this energy is further boosted by mental Mercury’s shift also into Capricorn just a day ago. Read more about it.. https://wp.me/p2dXxi-1CM
During this cycle, we can start working on our long-term goals and manifest a more stable future. Under the Sun in Capricorn, we can feel quite satisfied if we get tasks and work completed, as this influence gives us a stronger sense of accomplishment. We look for tangible results, and have a better understanding of what will last and what won’t. We’re much more comfortable working in an already established situation. We know our boundaries and respect them better during Capricorn Season.
I hope you get to celebrate this Magical season full of wonder and excitement. Just be extra careful out there.

Innovation is in the air, so we can go out on new exciting adventures. I hope you all get to celebrate this magical season full of wonder and excitement.

Weekend Update Dec 21 & 22
The Moon shifts into the sign of Scorpio for a few days which creates a more passionate, intense energy. This can help us get motivated to gr our last-minute holiday preparations together. However, if we fall into our emotions for whatever reason we can get lost in them and become obsessed with a need to analyze ourselves and others. This is a time that the truth tends to come out, so think about what you’re saying before you speak!
This is an amazing opportunity to open up to healing yourself and others through your spiritual heart. (That place within yourself that feels love.)
Venus the planet of love aligns with wounded healer/teacher Chiron. There may be challenges or struggles as values and tastes clash, or we can feel torn between wanting closeness and needing our freedom. We can get lost quickly, because we can be quite impulsive if we feel attracted to someone. There’s a deeper pull towards buying material things, (Which is not so good in this day and age with the Holidays coming up! ) Watch your wallets folks, you can seriously go overboard. Some of you will be able to really focus on your relationships and healing. But we can feel quite moody and our emotions can be up and down, this can lead to new commitments.
Over the weekend things can get a bit intense when the planet of love, Venus squares the planet of change and rebellion, Uranus. This can cause unexpected upsets and arguments especially in our close personal relationships with friends and family. So watch yourself at any family gatherings over the weekend, things can get testy. If you know there will be someone you will see that you don’t like then you may want to skip the event. But if you think it will be cool, then just stay aware and if any drama starts up to be ready to get out of there if need be.
Now the good news is the planet Mars which motivates us is in a rather lucky aspect, this can give us a major boost of energy to get things done. This influence can have us feeling strong and vital, and it can motivate us to finish whatever we start. It can actually be a successful day if you can keep things calm.
Here’s to a magical Winter Season, may you be healthy and abundant. Be Blessed ~Ruby
The Winter Solstice is on Friday, December 21 when the Sun leaves the sign of Sagittarius and enters the Sign of Capricorn where it remains through Jan 20. Today officially starts “Capricorn Season.”
Happy Birthday to all my Capricorn’s folks!
At the exact same time as the Winter Solstice, loving Venus and dreamy Neptune are in perfect harmony together. Our hearts are open to our deepest desires, and our hopes and dreams can manifest. Venus is on a high level, affecting us with its deeper vibrational energies, this energy activates our heart centers and affects how we love one another for a little while anyway. All things Venusian open up now, so how we love each other and around our finances as well, what a Holiday Gift folks! It’s been rough with Venus in Retrograde, but she is totally back to her normal glamorous Goddess self now, so things can go right for a change in our intimate relationships and around our money!
Plans of actions are ready to be put into place and start rolling out now, as mental Mercury is conjunct or connecting to the life of the party, Jupiter. This is a time when we tend to think big, as we love having frank and open discussions, so the possibilities are thought about and discussed. The only issue is with Jupiter and Mercury both in “go big or go home,” Sagittarius, we tend to maybe say a little too much, so watch out for raw honesty, as under this energy we can get carried away!
All of these Cosmic connections makes for some pretty amazing energy, to be honest! These planetary combinations bring in an extra dose of love, happiness, and good fortune for all of us to share. Which is perfect timing for the Holidays!
However, a challenging connection between the Moon and Venus also occurs and we should be extra cautious of the woman we tend to hang out with, as they can get super charged up and dare I say dramatic during this time. This also tends to affect any men who are more feminine as well. Like a volcano, waiting to erupt, and it can be very sudden as some folks are already dealing with this energy!

Full Moon Ahead!
Then the Full Moon occurs on Saturday, Dec 22, in its home sign of sensitive, protective Cancer. Cancer is a nostalgic sign and very sentimental. This Full Moon is ideal as folks head home for the holidays.
During the Christmas Holiday time the Cosmos lines up and brings in some fun energy, as we feel more like being social, so throwing some sort of Holiday get together in your own home can go quite well, especially since the Moon will be in the sign that loves to be at home the most, Cancer. Traveling can go quite well this week or before the Christmas Holiday, at least better than the actual week of Christmas as there is going to be delays and other unforeseen obstacles for traveling during that time. Being flexible will be the key to success.
This Full Moon period has a slightly restrained quality, with the masculine energies of the Sun and rulemaking Saturn in Capricorn opposing the Cancer Moon’s feminine, intuitive energy. So we can feel pulled on by our emotions to express ourselves only to pull back because we have work to do, and shouldn’t allow our emotional state to get in the way!
Setting Intentions Blog
Remember the Full Moon is in the sign Cancer over the weekend, it’s the perfect time to do “Energy Work.”It’s a time for Letting Go of what is no longer working in your life or those people who no longer serve your needs. Ask yourself what you need to finish or be done with! This is an emotional Full Moon but it also is powerful!
Late in the evening Saturday or early Sunday morning, the Moon is making a strong opposition to heavy Saturn, and some folks will feel very isolated or alone, as the Holidays are not happy times for everyone. But this energy tends to magnify those feelings and make them deeper feeling! So make sure and reach out to those who seem down or sad. Luckily, these feelings won’t last for too long.
Setting Intentions during this time is strong! it’s a great time to write out a list of what you’d like to be done with, and call in what kind of energy you want to bring in your life. All you have to do is simply ask whomever you believe in, be it “The Universe,” The Moon, God, or simply your higher power spiritually speaking! You can write about letting go of people and situations both. This kind of Cosmic Energy is powerful and it is believed we get an extra dose of Magical Energy because it is also the Winter Solstice! It’s a time for Letting Go, and laying out your plans for the future as well! Manifest folks!

Christmas Eve and Day Astro Update
On Christmas Eve morning the Moon will shift into more generous Leo, and this means you should just have a good time and enjoy the holiday, and not allow yourself to get too worked up or overly aggressive. The energy is high and many of you will be in a festive mood.
Christmas Day looks merry and bright with the Moon in playful Leo. People will be eager to share and in a generous mood. If you are headed to Vegas or just out gambling for the holidays, you could be lucky as the moon in Leo is good for gamblers.
Food will be more desired during this Holiday time due to the Moon being in Leo, so make sure to make a feast or be prepared before the Holiday so you don’t have to worry about it on Christmas Day when everything is usually closed.
A challenging connection between the Moon and Venus also occurs around this time, and we should be extra cautious of the woman we tend to hang out with, as they can get super charged up and dare I say dramatic! This also tends to affect any men who are more feminine. Like a volcano, waiting to erupt, it’s going to be a sudden boom. Some folks are already dealing with this energy! So just be cautious and nice to the woman in your world.
There is some good news for lovers and actually, single folks looking for love, as the week of Christmas there is longer-term energy for healing that will occur in our relationships that need it. Chiron the wounded warrior and teacher influence is going to be strong in the days ahead. This starts around Christmas but peaks around December 28 through New Year’s Eve, when it will be at its strongest, it will be a good time to rekindle a relationship or a time to get together.
But there is an issue with travel during what seems to be the perfect Holiday week. It may take a bit longer than you anticipate to get to your destination. There are going to be some issues with weather in certain parts of the country and heavy precipitation. It just might be better to leave early and travel a day earlier than Christmas Eve Day. The days after Christmas are better astrologically speaking as there are no heavy astrological connections coming together.
New Years Astrological Preview
New Year’s Eve the Moon will be in sexy Scorpio, so it’s a great evening for passion and fun. And the Moon is being supported by a whole entourage of planets, like the Sun, Saturn, and even Pluto in Capricorn as well as Neptune! This is a nice energy folks. This is a very positive New Year’s Eve to make your resolutions and help them stick! All of the strong Scorpio and Capricorn energy will help us with discipline and what we need to succeed. So make up those Wish Lists and the sky’s the limit, even goals that just don’t’ seem within reach can be manifested.
But a bit of caution is also needed, as things change quite quickly when aggressive Mars moves into its home sign of fiery Aries also on New Year’s Eve. Watch out folks, if you don’t know how to handle this all or nothing kind of energy then you can have some issues. Mars sparks the energy up to have a rocking New Year’s Eve but there will also be arguments, debates, and wild events with this more aggressive energy influencing us so strongly.
Have a Happy Holiday Season Folks!
I won’t be writing any more big blogs until after Christmas Day! But I will be posting some Full Moon Blogs and will still be taking clients throughout the weekend for Reading Sessions, so message me if you’re interested, however, I am already booking up fast for next week after the Holiday.
May you have a wonderful, magical Holiday with both friends and family and make amazing memories! ~Ruby
The Holidays are officially underway… so many people are out last minute shopping, cooking and honoring the seasons change, which brings us to the Winter Solstice this Tuesday evening. So these lots to talk about. It’s important to pay-attention today and this week to what’s happening. Because the Universe is sending out some major signs and signals, and our intuition is strong. So listen to it! We’re going to have some major Ah-Ha moments as things become un-hidden and revealed.
Full Moon Magic:
The Full Moon also falls on Christmas day this year. There’s not been a Full Moon on Christmas in 38 years. This Full Moon is in the sign of Cancer, which is very fitting considering that Cancer the Crab rules home and hearth, family and tradition and much more. This week can be stressful as we are in the build up of energy towards the light of the Full Moon, so it can be emotionally intense out there this week. It’s a good time to practice meditation or prayer, if you can steal a few moments from your holiday festivities.
Our New Years Eve Astro forecast looks bright, we will feel more optimistic about our dreams and goals for the New Year, thanks to some pretty positive cosmic influences coming in.
Celebrating the Holidays:
The Winter Solstice is drawing near and this is actually a good time to think about setting some New Years resolutions. And with the Sun moving into the sign of hard-working, practical Capricorn also on Tuesday, we’ll want to get organized…as we’re more dedicated to our goals and tasks and what’s happening here on the planet and in our everyday lifes.
There are many different traditions that celebrate and honor the longest night of the year that are considered sacred. The original celebrations of the Winter Solstice took place at night, as folks gathered around a huge fire and set out candles to call the Sun back in.
One thing all the faithful traditions use to celebrate the Holidays is Light! From string lights, candles to even sparklers. They light up bonfires to celebrate the Yule log, which is an old tradition that dates back to Northern European times. The lights are a reminder of the hope we have for those longer sunny days.
The longest night of the year is a very fruitful time for “Setting Intentions” when the Sun also starts it’s new journey, and so do we. So what you focus on and feel… you can create…then watch those intentions grow with the Sun. Our wishes and desires will grow and gain momentam through Spring.
Think about starting a “Family Tradition” and set some Winter Solstice Intentions, then follow your progress throughout the New Year. Just jot down what energy you’d like to see come into your life and what you don’t, release the negative and bring in the positive! Close your eyes and breathe, and see your visions happening, and don’t become attached to the how or when of it all. Next put your written out intentions in a special place that you won’t forget. It’s the dark before the dawn, just like during the New Moon cycle, this can be a very potent, powerful time for some magic. Draw to you what you want, dream and desire for the New Year! After the last few years this can be something to really get into. 2014 and 2015 were both extremely rough years astrologically!
Take my advice and remember to “Set Intentions” and make some resolutions this Tuesday the 22nd on the Winter Solstice. It may be a more powerful energy then January 1st – New Years Day will be….unless you are working on a resolution around dieting, then might I suggest to wait till January 2nd to call that in.
