“Mercury enters Libra”

The planet Mercury rules over how we think and the way we process information, it has been in the sign of Virgo for an extended amount of time due to Mercury’s last Retrograde cycle, under normal circumstances this was a positive energy that helped us really take the time to sort out the details of our lives. However, it has been slowing us down for too long and we need a shift like with any of the Signs of the Zodiac, (too much of a good thing.) Today Mercury shifts gears and comes up for air and into harmony-seeking Libra, through Oct 17th.

This breath of fresh air means we tend to think more rationally, especially in our relationships. And it’s a good time to resolve any recent conflicts, arguments, or misunderstandings as the communication planet enters peaceful Libra, this energy is here to teach us all how to just get along. Libra is the peace-maker of the Zodiac and Mercury is the communicator, so with the world in so much turmoil over the last few months, this could really help some things get better. Some folks will just be more willing to apologize, make amends, or extend some sort of peaceful resolutions.

We can be diplomatic and friendly, as we strive to be fairer. It’s the time to think about working on your negotiation skills as we are better at seeing both sides to situations. Under this influence we also may be indecisive due to seeing the whole picture so much more clearly, (especially with the Sun also now in Libra). It may be a struggle just making up our minds.

We can get a bit carried away trying to accommodate others especially our partners, but we want to keep balance, harmony, and peace. However, this can be a good time to consider the other side or others points of views. This is a wonderful time to get together with friends and attend something fun.

September’s “Cazimi”  New Moon

There is a strong potential for an opportunity to show up during this particular New Moon for all of us. There’s a whole lot of Virgo energy coming together and we can use this to our advantage. These Virgo influences can be like the ultimate Fix-It energy, so there’s a strong possibility a solution to a long-term problem can show up.

As of now, there are four planets in the sign of the Goddess, Virgo, and tomorrow five. So it will be difficult to ignore. We desire more than usual to keep drama away and work on making things calmer. The less chaos the better. Focusing on our health is very important now, as well as our mental and spiritual well-being. This fix-it energy is here and eager to help us take care of ourselves so we can tend to our business and work.

The best part of this rather rare Astrological line-up is that with so much Virgo energy in play we can discover better solutions and ways to regain order, which is something we all need right now. The really interesting thing about this New Moon is that it’s what’s called a “Cazimi” in Astrology, it means this New Moon has an auspicious touch and can be very lucky! It helps us find simple and practical ways to fix things in our lives. Just don’t look to be surprised or shocked as Virgo energy is about finding practical solutions.

This is a rare event having so many planets in the sign of Virgo at one time, and everyone has Virgo in their own personal “Astrology Birth Chart” somewhere, so we need to learn and embrace all of Virgo’s traits during this time, which starts now.

This is a great time to focus on cleaning out your closets on every level, so mentally, emotionally, and physically! So take this opportune moment to get rid of anything that has become toxic in your life. Under all the Virgo energy things should be kept clean as beauty of purity is rewarded. Clean space cleanses our souls and minds, so our space needs to be tidy and neat. And since we are in the middle of this cleaning process our emotions will start to come to the surface, because cleaning out our lives isn’t easy on us.

“Wounded Healer” Chiron will be stirring up some emotional challenges during this New Moon as well. It’s getting ready to make a tense Square to strict Saturn, which can bring up your fears and insecurities to the surface. This energy will definitely be stirring things up by early November. We can learn something important about our past and the scars that are still with us, these emotional wounds will come out to heal and help us restore some sort of balance in our lives.

This New Moon can be an eye-opening experience so we can work on doing away with any denial or unrealistic expectations that have been clouding up our vision. Virgo energy is all about keeping things clean and tidy, and since we are in this process, just remember the sense of accomplishment you feel after a major cleaning project, it’s a wonderful freeing feeling! That’s what you can expect to feel if you do the work.

After everything we’ve been through and all the chaos over the last several months, this New Moon is coming in right on time. It’s like the ultimate “Cleaner”, that helps us make new goals and implement new plans. No other sign is more detailed than Virgo, so this energy you catch flaws and imperfections to help us see what’s not working in our lives. So take advantage of this time and clean up any chaos in your life, and find those fixes and regain balance.

There’s a great opportunity during the New Moon to embrace some new daily ritual or practice routines around self-care. The September New Moon delivers the fix-it energy we so desperately need to clean up our lives from all the Retrograde chaos we’ve been in. September will be much calmer and not as crazy as August due to the Solar Eclipse that occurred. However, the energy the Eclipse started on August 21st will continue to be activated throughout September and the months to come. We just won’t feel so push and pulled on like we did all through August to the point of craziness, and much of that nervous tension we felt shouldn’t be a factor.

Mercury in Retrograde just moved back into the sign of Leo, and meets up with hot-headed Mars on the 3rd, but also makes a nice connection to thought provoking Uranus. This coming week is all about the Lessons we are learning from last month’s Eclipse. These lessons are still just coming to us because this energy lasts for months after it occurred, so we are still processing them and discovering what they even are at this time. They’re so new we don’t even know them all just yet! Mercury teaches us how to communicate, while Mars is our actions, and Uranus helps us think of new ways to do things. These three planets are joining up and activating the Eclipse Point energies, and this creates a very strong energy for communication. But the issue is we can say too much and cross boundaries, so people may get aggressive or angry!

Mars the planet that ignites our aggressions and passions is still in fiery, roaring Leo till the 5th, so watch what you say folks, or get ready to rumble out there! The energies are ripe for disputes, fights, and anger. Some people are feeling selfish, and there’s a tendency to overdo and over react right now. The good news is Mercury is going DIRECT on the 5th, just right before the Full Moon comes together, which ends its three weeks long Retrograde cycle, but if you add the three week shadow period prior to the Rx period, we have been in this energy for nearly six long weeks! It’s been enough, for now, time to get our way of thinking back to normal. And it’s turning direct at the exact same point or degree as it’s called in Astrology as last month’s Solar Eclipse also in Leo, 28 degrees. This energy can bring great insight and clarity around how to move forward with our intentions we set back during the Eclipse.

This will be a very powerful time for Mercury because it is always stronger when it turns direct, so in Leo, the truth will come out, and people are exposed, but this also gives us more helpful information.The Full Moon occurs the next day on Sept 6th in healing Pisces. So we will be in lessons around spirituality, idealism, dreams (both awake and asleep), illusions, deception, weakness, confusion, and vagueness. Neptune is Pisces ruling planet and this Full Moon will affect your mood and close relationships, it amplifies and intensifies these energies as it also joins up with Neptune! This can be dreamy or extremely foggy! Make sure to be cautious during this time, things aren’t what they always appear to be, and we are more vulnerable to deception, victimization, and scandals.

Last February the Moon was doing the exact same thing, so whatever seeds or ideas we planted at that time can now be realized during this month’s Full Moon.This month’s New Moon occurs on the 20th in Virgo. So it’s lessons for us are all about getting some control over our bodies and health or well-being, it also helps us to focus on the details and reality. Which we will get a whole of training on this month, as the Sun, Mercury, Mars, and Venus will all be in Virgo at one point. That means your life, mind, body, and love life all could experience some sort of wake-up call. Take the steps to help yourself heal in some way this month because the opportunity is there.

How we react or respond to any kind of dramatic or traumatic event depends upon our emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. This coming Week will be a very busy time for the Cosmos! On August 26, loving Venus moves into bolder Leo. So all you Leo Sun or Rising Signs can really shine for the next three weeks in this energy, get out there and take some selfies. But for everyone else it can be a great time to make deals or do some bargain shopping, just hold off on the big purchases until after Sept. 5th when Mercury comes out of Retrograde. This energy can make for strong romantic attractions, but also for overly aggressive love, so take it easy! This is a lucky time for most of us generally speaking as Venus will stay in Leo through Sept 20th. Enjoy!

Also, Saturn has gone directly now folks and remains in the sign of Sagittarius, so life finally starts moving again. This energy will help all of us start moving forward again in some specific area of our life. Something will come back around and you will feel it! The forward movement of Saturn brings about beginnings and onto very important journeys, so whatever path we end up on can be with the right people and in the right places.

Saturn is our COSMIC TEACHER!

He helps guide us towards our destiny. Saturn remains in Sagittarius for another four months, but the last few months of any Saturn aspect can feel harsh. Especially, if we haven’t done what we are supposed to be doing and learned our lessons. Maturity is always an issue with this planet. If you start to feel like life isn’t going in the direction it should be and you are having constant blocks or restrictions pop up, then there is something you need to learn or change. Take some time to figure out your life and the paths you are on. The answers aren’t that cryptic or that difficult to see, it’s right in front of you! Once you have accepted and learned what it is you should be doing in some way, you will be rewarded when Saturn moves into the sign it rules Capricorn by the New Year.

On the 27th, Jupiter makes a nice connection to Saturn in Sagittarius

This is one of the rarest and best Astrological Aspects left this year!

Jupiter makes a rare, yet strong connection to the great Cosmic Teacher, Saturn, and this hasn’t happened in 13 yrs and won’t happen again for 6 more. These two heavy hitting planets working together can equal success for you and make things a little easier. Do something proactive in regards to a personal or professional goal. This weekend can be the perfect time to make something big happen!

Things get moving and life changes rather quickly for so many of you now, as we start to notice many of these changes are for the better, finally! Some of you have already started to release parts of yourself that just don’t work or serve you anymore, and other people are opening their eyes and seeing the roles they took on the last decade (at one point), just don’t match up with who they really are anymore. Karma is getting broken, so it’s time to stop doing something you took on over the past twelve years because you aren’t that person now, and if something you are doing just feels off or if you don’t feel it in your soul, cut your losses and let it go!

The rest of this year can be a Wake-Up Call! The Cosmos has been showing us just who we truly are and what parts of our life don’t’ make sense. Over the next few weeks, we will get even more clear because we can feel it in our soul! You can do something with this newfound clarity, especially now that the Sun has moved into more detailed Virgo this week. Virgo energy affects all of us, no matter your Sign, and pushes us to do something different that aligns more with who we truly are and our authentic-self, so we can live our lives in our truth and in the way we are meant to. It can take some time to process all this information, so go ahead and take some time to reflect on this and really think about your life now and what you want to break free from and change. The answers you seek are coming soon and they can change your life.

Over the last few weeks, you might have realized something about yourself or your life that you just don’t like and now over the coming weeks all this Virgo energy can help you create some changes that you want to make. This can be quite a powerful month indeed, for many different reasons. But here’s the thing you have to stay away from the more negative toxic people and situations, so if you cause trouble and frustrate people to the point of arguing, you will more than likely end being left alone and made to feel very isolated. So work on this and stop yourself, it’s not a good time to cause friction with others, it can cut you off from the ones who can actually help you down the road. We are supposed to take this time to work together and create positive changes now!

Over the next month or so the energies will be more aligned with what brings about peace, harmony, and finding balance. If you can achieve that, you can be very successful in whatever you set out to do. However, this can be a tricky time, so we can easily get tripped up and start fights fairly quickly. The bottom line is if you want to be successful than stay positive with other people. The way the planets are forming now is very unique, and folks who are negative, argumentative, or who have ill intentions might be forced to leave or change. This rather strange energy will start coming together soon, and it can be very positive for those of us who don’t choose to get caught up in negativity. These planetary influences are going to really raise our vibrations and will kick out the negative people, by making them feel like they can’t stay in situations or relationships. They will have to work on raising their vibrational energy, by acting kind or simply leave.

Relationships are going to go through a huge shift! Breakups will be inevitable and many bad relationships will end, and some even divorce. The Universe is bringing us New Beginnings and more positive energies will start to come back in our lives. It is the time to leave that bad job or a negative situation and move on towards what you really need or want. It’s a good time to start releasing what you can’t control over to the Universe and surrender your problems to them. Allow this energy to help you! As good deed and positive acts will bring about some pretty good rewards. Focus on what it is you need to release and allow the Universe to bring you more peace and miracles now, so you can get through the more tough or challenging times that may arise.

On September 5th Mercury will finally come out of Retrograde and move forward again, and then a Full Moon in Pisces will occur on the 6th, and you can feel pushed to move forward with your life. Between September 6th and the 21st is a major turning point in our lives. The best way to work through this time is to detach yourself from negative situations, attitudes, and people, or anyone you might have been around for a long time who is toxic, stop wasting your time with these folks. These situations can be very draining and they don’t support or promote your growth or happiness. But once you do some releasing work, you will free up some space for the better more positive energies and people to come into your life.

The recent Eclipses were very strong, and the energies have shifted and we are feeling these effects deep inside ourselves, something is starting to stir up within you, because you want to get ahead and move forward in some way, well that time is now! It’s the first day of a new Astrological month, as the Sun enters the harvest sign of Virgo this afternoon, where it will remain for the next month, through September 22nd.

This energy affects all of the Signs of the Zodiac, as we all have Virgo, like every other sign, in on our own personal Astrology Birth Charts!

Under the influence of the Sun in Virgo, it’s time to take care of practical concerns. There can be a lot of unnecessary stress from worrying and thinking about any unfinished business we might have so we can become stressed out if we don’t tend to the details of our daily lives. Details are everything under the influence of Virgo!

This is a great time to get organized, and for doing work involving the details, and communicating at our jobs or about our careers. But we also maybe more reserved with our deeper feelings during this time.

However, there can be some issues that throw a monkey wrench in our plans to get organized, and that is mentally active Mercury, one of Virgo’s ruling planets is still in its Retrograde cycle through September 5th. This means the energies slow down even more, unlike when the Sun was in Leo these last few weeks. Which means the Sun and Moon are going to be both in Virgo.

We aren’t as confident or as willing to be flexible. So there can be more misunderstandings and a lot of you might feel like you can’t concentrate or stay as focused. We just have to ride this out for the next week, when Mercury shifts into more confident Leo. The best thing we can do is take our time and continue to really pay attention to what we communicate to others.

Sometimes the Universe gives us a break even if it doesn’t always feel that way. One thing the cosmos always does is create balance. So the energies get slowed down a bit so we have the opportunity to catch up. Mercury in Retrograde is that time out, it’s the chance to get caught up with life, it’s time to get unplugged, and take a long deep breath. It’s a good time to take time off from work if at all possible and focus on reworking what needs to be completed, and no the Universe doesn’t care if you have a deadline, or when it’s time to slow down and unplug, it simply just is.

Mercury rules the lower-mind or individual (finite) mind and its energies, so when it’s in a Retrograde cycle we tend to perceive things in a very different way.

Mercury in Retrograde, like all Retrograde plants, is happening for a reason, this isn’t some new astrological fad. Planets have always gone into Retrograde and will continue to do so. So every once in awhile we get a chance to pause or stop and get some rest. This is the time to review your life and the paths you’re on. What this Mercury in Retrogrades cycle does help us to breathe, be still, relax, and review. The main thing to know as this energy comes in is that it’s time to review your life and redo anything that needs to be done. It is time to re-search, re-think, re-visit, re-connect, and to get re-organized.

What Not To Do during
Mercury in Retrograde:

– Don’t start brand new projects
– Do not get into arguments, avoid critical folks and tense people or situations.
– Do Not Sign Contracts or New Agreements
– Avoid Travel
– Do Not take misunderstandings personal. Our communication is foggy and clouded.

What To do during
Mercury in Retrograde:

– Redo, Rework, Review, Research, so basically go over things again and wrap up old business and projects.
– Double Check the Facts and all the info you come by.
– Revisit what you need to, like your work.
– Reconnect with the folks that matter if you’ve had issues or not.
– Backup Computers and any data you want to keep saved, usually start this process two weeks prior to the actual Retro Cycle.
– Reorganize your daily life routines.
– Declutter.
– Reflect and practice spiritual work.
– Release what’s been holding you back or blocking you, let go of what no longer is working especially in your intimate relationships.

~What’s Positive During Mercury in Retrograde?
There can be positive effects to your life from Mercury in Retrograde that we just didn’t think about before. Like throwing out the old and organizing our lives. Focus on any past opportunities and reconsider them and see if they are still an option. We may just have to work around all the computer glitches and electronic snafus while doing so. It’s important to understand we don’t have to stop all our projects during the Mercury in Rx cycle. But it’s not an ideal time to start new ventures or to sign contracts, simply because for one reason or another we end up usually changing our mind once Mercury turns direct, or goes back to normal. However, it can be a great time to do some “outside of the box” thinking. It’s just best not to ACT until after Mercury is back to its normal pace. But if you can get something done in a different or unique way, go for it!

~With Mercury Retrograde in Virgo:
This time around our focus should be on re-organizing and reflecting. We see the world differently during this time and through these filters, we can have some very important inner-revelations. With Mercury in Rx it’s a good time to look at past decisions and ideas from a new enlightened perspective, but remember we can be especially analytical and critical, perhaps too much with Mercury in the sign of Virgo through the 31st.

Even though we may be especially stubborn or impatient. Lots of folks will end up returning to old projects and end up redoing, refining, and tweaking them. You may feel stuck in the past in some way while Mercury is Retrograde in Virgo, but you can find old or past ideas to be more useful now, so use them in new ways if you can make yourself move forward. This is a great time to review recent financial matters or work and discover mistakes or oversights. Plans or routines may be reconsidered in ways that can benefit you.

Mercury Rx is also a powerful time to study, particularly for returning to old studies and re-learning or refreshing knowledge around subjects that have already been taken.

This Mercury in Retrograde cycle can also help you think back to a part of your recent past and help you reconnect to an old dream or goal to follow through on. Someone from your past might get a hold of you for a second chance or opportunity, but that doesn’t mean it’s meant to be, usually, it doesn’t work out for the long-run. Because we are perceiving things in a different way and the truth tends to come out, and you just might notice or find some kind of detail you overlooked or didn’t catch before. This cycle can bring clarity and help you remove the restrictions or blocks that are in your way from achieving happiness.

It may not be as easy to communicate under this influence, but remember to try not to rationalize everything, which can prove difficult due to this particular Mercury in Retro being in analytical Virgo. Mercury Rx periods can be times of heightened inner-awareness, so might I suggest getting more involved in practices like meditation, keeping a journal, reworking old plans, reviewing or working on any activities involving your past. And this all can be quite helpful as it keeps your mind more focused and in the right space.

We can get a lot out of renewing our old self-care, health, or fitness programs. Plans are going to be thought about and then dropped rather quickly during this time, so be flexible to changes, as it just comes with the territory. This is a good time to reevaluate our routines and habits, as well as the meaning around what we do for a living, so around our work and any services we provide with Mercury in Virgo.

~Mercury Retrograde in Leo:
Mercury will switch signs into Leo, during its Retrograde phase starting August 31st through September 5th, this is a time for learning or relearning what we love doing. Look back and analyze your past romantic relationships or creative projects. It’s also a time for preparation, rehearsal, and redoing things. It especially can be a good time for role playing something before you actually say or do it!

~Mercury in Rx transits the Sun:
Retrograde Mercury is aligned with the Sun in Virgo on August 26th, this placement lights up our thinking. This connection makes for a favorable time for processing recent ideas or events, and for looking at past problems or issues from a new perspective with a new understanding. Remember what we say or write during this time can have more of an impact for better or worse! There can some amazing new ideas that come through during this time, so be creative!

Mercury will start retracing its steps and go into direct motion on September 5th, this period of time is called the “Shadow” phase and that ends on Sept.19th.

What’s also interesting to note is that Mercury returns to 28 degrees Leo before moving direct again, and this is exactly the same position of the “Solar Eclipse” on August 21st. Retrograde Mercury is also aligned with Mars at this Eclipse point on September 2nd and 3rd, those days are going to be significant, but I will have more on this later.

The upcoming Full Moon in Virgo will have an important impact on all of us, as many other planets are aspecting it in big ways. But Full Moons always reveal things and often bring endings and completion into our lives. Full Moons can be felt as they build up in energy usually at least a few days prior.

The Full Moon being in Virgo rules over the mind, invoking deep thoughts, focus, and analyzation. This isn’t the time to be sketchy or vague when goal setting or planning. People tend to be more restless and emotional during this cycle. It’s important to remember other folks may be acting out more than usual and you can feel more excited, intense, ambitious, over-emotional, intuitive, depressed, or act out of the ordinary, which brings out annoyances and issues for all of us. September is going to be quite a busy month with the cosmos throwing a lot of energy out there. I do feel that between the more challenging energies there will be a calmness that feels quite grounding. But there’s many twists and turns and even surprises coming. The energies during Eclipse Season can feel a bit hectic and somewhat even crazy at times. The Universe is handing out some pretty cool Ah-Ha moments this month, this can bring you clarity and answers that will help you navigate some of this wild energy. The cosmos will also usher in some serious Luck! Woo-Hoo! Now who isn’t excited about that?

This is Eclipse Season so we’re in for some major changes as there’s big shifts and turns ahead. Eclipses always create an exciting kind of vibe that can feel chaotic. It seems many of you will experience several changes at once, but that is not always the case. It’s exciting to think about the new chapters that are being written for you, and the closure some of you will finally get. Being smack dab right in the middle of the Solar Eclipse that occurred on the 1st and the upcoming Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on the 16th, means that we are in the most transformational part right now, September 4th through the 16th.

Expect some powerful endings and new beginnings as always during Eclipse Season. People from your past might randomly pop up in one way or another over the next 4 weeks, and at one time these folks might have had some serious pull over you or strong influence, but they could actually assist you with your career in some way now. So pay attention and just understand there’s a reason if someone does show up, but that doesn’t mean you have to be around them again, it may just simply be a reminder of some kind. SEPTEMBER 1st-4th, SOLAR ECLIPSE

September certainly came in with a bang with Mercury in Retrograde and the Solar Eclipse in Virgo on the 1st! So even though new opportunities are presenting themselves, do expect delays and miscommunications because of the Retrograde through the end of September. You may feel wired for sound one minute and simply exhausted the next, especially during the first week of September since the Solar Eclipse energy has been at its highest point already, but that energy lingers on. And you will feel it again around the 13th, when the build up to the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse starts to get intense.

 September 9th, Jupiter enters Libra

There’s another big week ahead starting on September 9th, when the great benefactor, Jupiter, moves out of Virgo and into the sign of Libra, and with it brings great opportunities for all of us, no matter what your sign may be! This influence will bring about positive changes, as it helps bring folks together. There will probably be a record number of marriages and relationship commitments made, and business partnerships under this influence between September 9th, 2016 and October 10th, 2017. So wherever Jupiter happens to fall in your own personal Astrology Chart, is where you’ll experience the most good luck and possible fortune or even fame. This energy can give out some serious abundance.

September 10th – Saturn Neptune Square

 
This one might be quite difficult for many of you. This energy can bring problems, disagreements, and chaotic situations that just suddenly pop out of nowhere. It’s best to lay low for the week of the 5th through the 11th, especially around your career and any financial dealings, and with Mercury in Retrograde, yea keep by the book, play by the rules and stick to taking care of your responsibilities during this time, and not try to push anything. Don’t believe everything you see, read, or that is said during this time, as this energy is truly the illusions we perceive being busted out by reality! These lessons can get right up in your face if you don’t choose to take care of business, so it’s best to deal with the truth of the matter immediately while you still have a chance to balance out any Karmic Debt you may have.
 
September 16th – LUNAR ECLIPSE

Then there is the September Full Moon in sensitive, healing Pisces. Ok I’m not going to sugar coat this one, it’s going to be very strong, and potent energy! I feel this Eclipse will bring about more challenges than the Solar Eclipse did, simply because a Full Moon is actually a challenging energy between the Sun and Moon anyway. But also because it’s an Eclipse and it’s in Pisces. Pisces folks are known for being very sensitive, because they are ruled by their spirit more so than their physical body. Therefore a Pisces Full Moon can plug all of us into the energies that be, and the veils between the physical world and spiritual realms dissolve. As these boundaries come down, we must make sure to “shield” ourselves spiritually and physically. We become very vulnerable in this energy. It’s very easy for those of us with an empathic nature to pickup on others issues and emotions, and struggle to differentiate whose feelings we are picking up on, and if they are own or someone else’s.

This Full Moon being an Eclipse can bring on sudden breakups, and create endings very quickly in things like our jobs, relationships, and really in any area of one’s life. These Eclipses are also seen as exit points or transitional gateways over to the other side. So often we seem to lose some very well-loved members of the human race during this time, just like Gene Wilder for example…just last week. He clearly was loved by so many!

Things usually get intense about 3 days prior to a Full Moon, as the Moon’s energy builds up to become Full. And with this one being an Eclipse, things can get intense! You might feel like you can’t take the pressure, and for some this means acting badly or going a little crazy! Pay attention to your surroundings and just stay clear of anyone who causes drama, don’t allow these folks to pull you into their madness. It’s too scary in that space to join them, stay focused on creating peace with the Pisces Full Moon. And don’t forget to “Set Intentions” more so focused on letting go and releasing what you no longer want or what isn’t serving you anymore.

SEPTEMBER FALL EQUINOX

 On the 22nd we celebrate the Fall Equinox as the Sun moves out of Virgo and into Libra. You might have noticed how focused you have been on the details and maybe even a little over-analytical over this last month, but the energies will shift and you will quickly become more focused on creating harmony and balance in your life, especially around your everyday routines and your relationships. Also this is the glorious day that Mercury goes forward again, and out of its Retrograde cycle, but don’t get to excited as it will take a few more weeks after the 22nd for Mercury to stop affecting our way of thinking and really get moving up to its normal speed again.

 

SEPTEMBER 26th-30th – PLUTO GOES DIRECT, NEW MOON

September will come to a close in a more harmonious way. Pluto the planet of transformation and personal power will finally move forward again on the 26th. Pluto has been in Retrograde since April, so all of you have learned in one way or another how to take your power back by now, in some area of your life. You might have experienced a situation that pushed you into standing up for yourself. This should have helped you feel more confident and empowered.

So as this energy starts to move forward again, so can you! The month of September ends with a New Moon, but this time in Libra. Eclipses always come in pairs for a reason, they are a time of powerful endings and new beginnings. Energy opens and closes. Power shifts and creates changes. They actually restore balance in our lives. The Solar Eclipse on Sept. 1st is in Virgo and the Lunar Eclipse on Sept 16th in Pisces. Eclipse Season is a time when things grow fast and parts of our lives take off! During an Eclipse, events that seem destined or fated often take place, so basically there’s a reason for what happens. The Sun enters Virgo

Happy Birthday to all my Virgo’s!!

The Sun will enter more earthy, yet idealistic Virgo today, this runs through September 22nd. It’s time to get serious and more focused, as this energy can prove to be quite interesting, because Mercury (the way we think an express ourselves) is also in its own sign of Virgo for an extended stay, due to its upcoming Retrograde cycle. Which by the way means communication break down in all forms, so this influence can cause simple misunderstandings, but we also may experience weird little computer and electronic glitches.

Have you noticed Mercury in Retrogrades affects yet! Because it’s trying to get us to unplug long enough to sit still and just simply be, it wants us to slow down and depend on our logic and intuition, and not just go by what a computer says. Take some time over the next 4 weeks and take a day off from being online if at possible, you’ll be glad you did. It will cleanse your soul. 

With the Sun in Virgo we are extremely aware and focused on the details, so try not to get to critical or analyze things to much….I dare ya! With so many strong planets in this one sign, we really should be focusing on our work and what we do in our lives for others. It’s also a good time to start paying more attention to your health.

“How to be Productive during Mercury in Retrograde”

Have you noticed your electronics breaking down or glitching out, are you struggling with misunderstandings or having communication issues with people? Has your Wifi, computer, smartphone, and any associated technologies been acting just weird lately? Then there’s a very good chance you have been experiencing the affects of “Mercury in Retrograde.” Mercury is the plant that governs over communication, travel, and often electronics, and when it’s in a Retrograde cycle or appears to be moving backwards, things can go a little haywire here on planet Earth!

Remember throughout this article I will be referring to Mercury in Retrograde as Mercury Rx. Rx is the actual symbol used in Astrology for “Retrograde,” and it helps me shorten this down a bit.

I have been writing about what not to do during a “Mercury in Retrograde” cycle for many years now. And even though I believe strongly in the advice I give, especially about how we shouldn’t be signing contracts at this time or making any long distance travel plans. It just seems to get to the point where I’m constantly telling this negative story, which is a drag. And isn’t exactly helping anyone, now is it? Each “Mercury in Rx” cycle lasts for 3 weeks and that’s not including the “Shadow Phases”, which are before and after a Mercury in Rx cycle. Each shadow phase last three weeks as well. So that makes Mercury in Rx a nearly two month event! We have to get something positive out of this!

Being born during a Mercury in Rx cycle myself, I really understand its affects on a deeper level. I’ve had my fair share of Mercury Rx moments over the years, and I could go on and on! In some ways I live in this electronical glitchy world full of misunderstandings and little mishaps all the time. Therefore I am used to it, but still thoroughly annoyed by it. But with all of that being said, I have also learned that “Energy Follows Thought” bottom line, no matter what the Cosmos is doing. I have proven to myself time and time again that if you focus on what it is you really want, you can ride the waves of any negative astrological influence and come out of it with something more positive. Not to say that if you make a list of what to do that you won’t have issues, because what ever part of your Astro “Birth Chart” Mercury Rx is transiting is the part of your life it will affect, and with this particular aspect there’s not a lot you can do to detour it. But you can learn how to work with it, and benefit from it!

Since I became aware of Mercury and it’s Retrograde cycles at a very young age, I have also learned a great deal about how to align my energy better with the Cosmos, to seek and find balance. I thought I would shed some light on how one can be productive during a Mercury in Rx cycle. So instead of explaining what not to do during this time, let’s focus on the progress we can make!

Astrologers are constantly explaining how during this cycle, communication is broken down… well that made me think about when something or someone is broken down, it’s an opportunity to rebuild the energy back up again, to align better with one’s soul path in life. Which means perhaps all the things glitching out or not working, or the misunderstandings that seem to come along with Mercury in Rx, are being brought to us for a reason, for a higher purpose. Maybe to help us understand something we otherwise may not notice, and to bring us clarity! But you maybe asking, how when certain devices break down like our DVD players or our Wifi stops working, (happens everytime to my household) do these annoyances have any meaning or substance spiritually? The answer is simple, Mercury is telling you to Unplug, it’s time to get Quiet and stop the constant chatter, and to get away from the movement that is our lives nowadays. Listen to your higher-self, or your spirit! And no it’s not conducive to be unplugged and miss work and runaway from the world eveytime Mercury Goes into Retrograde, I get it! But it does mean you can take a Vacation for even a day or two and simply unplug from the outside noise. If that’s just impossible to do during this time, than take just 30 mins a day and unplug, go meditate and recharge your own personal batteries.

Sometimes we have to start over to achieve our goals, and in Mercury Rx that should be the rule… it’s time to not get bent all out of shape and frustrated and realize this is a time to re-work, re-do, re-learn, and do research. Don’t feel badly, trust me I can sympathize as I have already mentioned, I was born during a Mercury in Rx cycle and I have learned throughout the years once I do something, to do it again! Everytime I redo whatever it might be, it always comes out better. Just ask my second husband! Yes, I had to even redo marriage! But that’s the extreme example. The bottom line is it can be very frustrating for those who aren’t used to it, to have to redo everything all the time, but take my advice during Mercury in RX, it is the best thing you can do.

Even the planet Mercury itself is going backwards through a house in your own personal Astrology “Birth Chart” right now and a certain sign of the zodiac, and therefore is backtracking to help you learn and understand something you’ve probably already done or been through before. You have to take steps back during Mercury in Rx to move forward.

Here is my list to help remind me and all of you, what we can do that actually works for us during “Mercury in Retrograde.”

How to be Productive during Mercury in Retrograde:

REWORK SCHEDULES: Take a look at your schedule and ask: What’s working or not? Be flexible during this phase, and just know you may have to change your game plan. Think about letting go of any responsibilities that aren’t yours or that aren’t working for you.

DECLUTTER: It’s right after the Holidays, so many of us are clearing out old junk anyway, but during a “Mercury in Retrograde” cycle is the best time to get into your closet, basement, shed or attic and rid of what you don’t use anymore. I mean go through everything, even old junk drawers and make sure and recycle. Remember when you get rid of old stuff, you are getting rid of the old energy as well, and making room for new fresh energy to come in…which can bring in new beginnings.

REVISIT: If there’s any friends or family that you haven’t contacted in a long time for whatever reason, now is the time to make amends and open your heart up to healing. Working on these relationships can help heal old wounds. Which is beneficial to your spiritual evolvement. Catch up with old friends, go have coffee or meet up for dinner. Just make sure the people you choose to revisit are not dysfunctional or abusive.

SELF-CARE: It’s important to take care of yourself during this cycle, so working on self-care can be very helpful. Take it easy and make sure to eat right, exercise and move more. Spend less time being plugged into the net or social media if at all possible. Start some sort of new routine that benefits you and your well-being.

CHANGE THE ENERGY: Time to change the energies up in your life, add some nice candles to your home… to help burn off old energies and invite new energy in. Put some color in your home and redecorate with pictures that make you feel good. Add fresh flowers, burn new candles and burn some incense.  Bless and release the old energy that’s been in your home or office, and bring in a hugger vibrational energy. There’s many different ways to go about this. Just try it, you’ll see and feel the difference.

BE FLEXIBLE: This is very important so I am going to repeat it again, allow the energies to flow around you and stop trying to control everything, write a letter and let the Universe know what you’re trying to create in your life, and then sit back and relax. Just follow what feels natural and don’t fight, argue, or push.

REINVENT: Take some time to think about your past successes and bring new light to them, enjoy what you have created in your life, instead of trying to constantly manifest something new and different. Make sure to reuse what’s in your home and repurpose whatever you can, perhaps some DYI projects should be on the agenda during this period.

REWORK AND REDO: If you left any projects that you had started and never finished, behind, work on them again. Work on anything you feel passionate about, but this time finish them and enjoy what you have done. If there’s something you just couldn’t get done or get through, now is the time to redo it and fix it! “Mercury in Retrograde cycles tend to really help us finish up old business.

ORGANIZE: Do you have 3000 pics on your phone or computer just hanging around, this is a great time to organize your life. I like to organize my emails, pictures and just everything on my computer and smartphone or tablet during “Mercury in Retrograde.” Take the time to organize your world in anyway possible. Use this energy to make something creative perhaps as well.

REMEMBER: Connect to your past in some way, watch old videos of your family, wedding or any life event that was happy memory. Check out old high school pictures of friends and just simply reflect and reminisce about the old days, fill your heart up with memories and simply feel gratitude for the time you had with them. Connecting to positive energies will help you feel good, and can help you move forward in your life.

A Full Moon in Virgo occurs on Feb. 22nd around 12:30pm. It’s also known as the “Snow Moon”. This sets up a new chapter or new beginnings in your life. This Moon brings in change and with Mercury finally done with a painstakingly long Retrograde phase, this Moon will definitely represent closure for many of you. However, starting Feb 28th we can start to feel the push and pull of the incoming “Eclipse Season” energy.

A Full Moon is a tense meeting between the Sun and the Moon called an opposition. It makes us feel tense from the inside out, but for some it can be downright exhilarating! Hence why people act so crazy during the Full Moon, any nurse can tell you what folks are like during a Full Moon.

This month’s Full Moon is in practical, reserved Virgo, and you’ll probably notice a strong desire to organize something in your life. You should be focusing on your health and cleaning up your daily environment and routines. Also Virgo energy is about how we can be of service to others in our personal and professional life both. Think about that, no matter what your sign.

Virgo’s are very skilled at the art of discernment and discrimination, so this Full Moon can help us figure out what we need to keep and what we need to simply let go of in our lives. As a result, this can be a good time to complete projects, especially if they’re not to big and if they require attention to detail. Because Virgo’s symbol is the Virgin it is also associated with welfare, food, and exercise, so these things may be a concern during this time. People can be reserved and shy because they’re in deep thought and worry. It’s easy in this energy to be over-critical or judgmental, especially with family members or people you care for.

This Full Moon can show you how to solve an ongoing problem, conflict, or crisis. Usually by helping you release built up stress and anger. Stress has built up for quite a number of years now, inside each and everyone of us due to the radical and extreme change that the Uranus/Pluto “Square” energy brought into our lives. This Full Moon can help us release that tension, as the Uranus-Pluto Square will come together strong one last time during the firsr Eclipse in March. (yes the main square is still gone, this is a short meeting.) Take all the drama, pain, anger, resentment, and trauma you have experienced since 2012, and release it!
