There is so much going on in the world right now, I honestly didn’t have time to write all of June’s Astro Updates. But here is some info about the first half of the month, especially during the first week.

The first half of June 2020 can be a bit confusing, as underlying tensions seem to be coming out to be dealt with. Even though around the 3rd we could have some lovely things to say with the Sun/Venus Conjunction, a rather tense aspect when the Sun squares heated up Mars in Pisces can bring up and out the truth in our relationships, and that might not be so pretty. But at least we won’t have a problem being honest with each other.

The Sun conjuncts Venus from the 3rd to the 5th, and this might just be a welcome reprieve from all the hostility and anger of the past week. It won’t last too long folks due to the Full Moon energies and all the other cosmic connections underway. But we might just be able to find some light at the end of the tunnel, as our inner light gets to shine once again and take over the darkness. Use this time to find some inner peace within and hold onto that feeling, and hold onto that energy for as long as you possibly can!

The Full Moon in Sagittarius is also a Lunar Eclipse on the 5th, and this means it’s truth-telling time. So if you’ve got secrets you may want to come clean now before this energy hits. When the Full Moon gets into an intense square with both warlike Mars and delusional Neptune, our discussions may get too real, and our fantasies are called out for the illusions they are. It’s a time when mistakes are pointed out, and some folks may not be able to handle it. When Mercury forms a tense square to wounded healer Chiron at the same time self-doubt can kick in, and we can lose our confidence. During this time, it’s best to not believe everything you hear, read, or think. Depression may also set in, so make sure to keep communicating the way the Sun in Gemini intended, and talk to someone about your sadness.

From June 1st through the 10th, tensions will be high, especially when the Sun forms a tense square to Mars on June 6th. These influences are a test and we can be challenged by competitors and enemies. Basically, if things don’t calm down with the violence associated with the protests, a lot of people will feel like taking matters into their own hands and decide to come out and join the crowds, while hoping that things will calm back down. People are more than ready to take a stand now, but not allow their towns or businesses to be destroyed at the same time. The National Guard might just get called in, but only if it goes this far. The aspect coming together on June 6th will be felt during the first week of June and it is a build of angry energy. It could be from the lockdown due to the Virus, and the anger folks are carrying around from the events in Minneapolis last week. If you feel resentful or angry within yourself, try to do what you can peacefully, it’s ok to go to a March but don’t destroy property. Do not allow this rage to consume you. If we are not at ease within ourselves often the body will take on disease of some kind, so remember that.

As Mars transits through the sign of Pisces axnd the Sun in Gemini, there can be more lies, deceptions, and betrayal that comes out. Things are not what they seem and the media is not being completely honest on what they are reporting, go figure! There is a lot more happening behind the scenes with this crisis in the US. So there is more to the story! Life will not be peaceful during this time, so it’s important to find that space of peace within yourself during these times. There is a lot of emotional unrest with the planet of War, Mars being in the sign of Pisces the sign of healing over the next week.

On June 11th the Sun squares foggy Neptune, and motivated Mars is conjunct Neptune a few days later. This energy can make us feel like escaping from our normal routines, and doing something new or different. Otherwise, we can feel helpless and anxious. So don’t be discouraged if things don’t turn out exactly as you might have liked. Take a break and get away for a little while.

On June 18th, mental Mercury in Cancer (it has been slowing down and getting ready) as it goes into its Retrograde phase. So except for Mars, all the personal planets will appear to be moving backward through the Zodiac and be in their Retrograde phases. It is a good time to think about all that has happened over the last few months because my goodness has there been a lot! This is a time to go within yourselves and review all that you have been through and feeling. Work on healing yourselves and your hearts.

Nowadays, it’s become common knowledge to understand what Mercury in Retrograde is all about, but what you might not know is all the planets have a Retrograde cycle, which is when the planets appear to be moving backward in the sky! And these Cosmic shifts do cause significant changes and effects on all of us if we are aware of it or not! Saturn in Retrograde is considered to be a very powerful energy and marks a turning point in our lives. 

Starting April 29 the ringed-planet Saturn starts its five-month-long trip in its Retrograde cycle, through Sept 18.  This astrological event occurs just over every twelve months, lasting for nearly 4 and 1/2 months. Saturn Retrograde is not rare and lots of folks are born under one as well. This is a time of restrictions, blocks, limitations, and some anxiety and fear. The skills we learn during this Retrograde phase will prove essential to our growth for the long-term. In the coming days, you may feel off, weighed down, and disoriented, as once again our perspective shifts. But this is how we are affected by Retrograde planets at first anyway, at least until we have a chance to adjust to the shift in energy. 

Often it’s the very beginning and the end of these cycles (or commonly called Shadow Periods) that are the toughest or most challenging time. Just remember Retrograde cycles are always about perspective, so as these planets appear to be moving backward through the Cosmos, we too can feel like we’re going backward in our own lives, but it is a time to at least slow-down! 

During Saturn’s Retrograde cycle, it is a good time to revisit our relationships and work on any long-term goals we may have, as this is a time to pay close attention to our responsibilities and duties. It’s a time to restructure the way we manifest our reality and find new ways of thinking, and perhaps, adopt a different attitude about how to remove what is blocking us, or how to get through the obstacles that are in our way.

Saturn is known as the “Lord of Karma,” and while Retrograde it is a time when Karma is sorted out. Therefore, Saturn Retrograde can be a double dose of Karma handed-out. Karma is actually a form of energy that is very real, and like Saturn, it is very closely bound to time.

Over the next week, during the beginning of Saturn’s Retro phase, as it turns completely Retrograde, we may begin to feel the weight of it in certain situations quite heavily, especially around our responsibilities. Many of you will actually let go of certain commitments including relationships, jobs, or business deals, which can leave you wondering why you even bothered with them in the first place. We may feel somewhat disconnected and lose our motivation. It might be difficult to make important decisions during these influences, as our energy levels can be low. All of this is due to a change in perspective. We will learn how to find our footing and regain some sort of balance into next week, (into the first week of May), as we grow more accustomed to these shifts. Then we can turn Saturn’s Retrograde cycle into an opportunity, which is the most powerful way to see any Retrograde planet! Make this a time to go over and review your responsibilities, so you can figure out what’s working and what’s not. Take on any challenges you are dealing with and face your reality with gumption and make things happen, Saturn always rewards us for our hard work by the way. 

It’s important to slow down now and reconnect with what makes you feel useful, like your work, relationships, and duties. This, in fact, is not a good time to add anything to your existing responsibilities or duties, as the extra projects will just stress you out even more. We should be cutting back and reducing what we normally take on right now, it’s a time to make things simple folks! Any delays you happen to run in to now are just a kind reminder from the Universe that its time to make adjustments. This is a chance to make edits and corrections that are necessary for your success. This is a major time out from the Cosmos.

This influence has us take a look back at what we have already done or taken care of, so it can make you feel like you are moving backward and like you’re not moving forward. Actually, this is happening so you can review or go back over something that normally otherwise you wouldn’t have. Everything ruled by Saturn is under the microscope now and it’s a good idea to review these kinds of things. Like any rules or regulations you should be following, structures at work or in business, and traditions and foundations. Making changes to our ongoing projects or going over old ones can be successful, however, taking on new projects or responsibilities or commitments is probably not a great idea, it’s a time to simplify and restructure our lives first.

During Saturn’s Retrograde phase we will be dealing with particularly strong issues. Just remember as we take care of our unfinished business, Saturn is teaching us to be more patient and disciplined. Any skills we acquire during the retrograde phase will prove essential in the long-run to our success. 

Saturn’s lessons for all of us during its Retro phase is to take on certain responsibilities that we have already been developing or that are more important in our lives, so extra time is needed to take stock and to make sure everything is in order before we can continue. Saturn will present us with challenges and tests to make sure we are ready to take on these extra, but necessary responsibilities. The lessons we learn and that are taught by the Teacher of the Zodiac, Saturn, are often rough but they are valuable, and we are always rewarded by Saturn for our hard work and a job well done!

The shadow side to Saturn’s Retrograde is you may become sad or depressed, and not speak up for yourself, or act overly shy. If these behaviors get out of control during this time, then you’ll be offered a chance to recognize and admit you’ve got a problem. If this goes too far you can end up needed some help, so you can come out of your depression or isolation. Make sure and talk to someone if you start to feel down or too depressed, no matter what the planets are doing, there is always someone ready to listen and care more than you believe. 

This is an excellent time for schooling or training, but we may question it. There’s also going to be questions about our life, faith, and belief systems, as some folks will return to a Spiritual Path they started back in their past. We may need to tweak or edit a project that we plan on publishing or do something related to writing. Whatever you do during Saturn’s Retrograde, remember it’s a time to ride life straight and follow the rules, if you can do that you may learn a lot about life and gain some much needed and valuable insight that you can use for the long-term, and your future success.

A Super Moon, Full Moon, Lunar Eclipse!

The Cosmos illuminates the night sky on Jan. 21, as the beautiful Super Moon, Lunar Eclipse makes its appearance in a very powerful way!

The year 2019 started off with a New Moon, Solar Eclipse on Jan. 5, so we are now more than ready for the second part of the Eclipse phase to come together. Look for special signs and symbols from the Cosmos as to what your Eclipse messages may be. Something in your life is probably ending so you can create something new to come into your life. Eclipses bring with them very powerful cosmic energy to planet Earth and often trigger unexpected changes and surprises, so they bring important messages with them.

The Full Moon will be very close to the Earth this month, so this means the energies will feel quite intense compared to a normal Full Moon. This Super Full Moon as it’s called is also an Eclipse so you can feel this sucker in a big and very powerful way.

This Lunar Eclipse is at 0 degrees in the sign of Leo, and is the first Full Moon of the New Year! There will be two more Eclipses in July, back to back, so something profound is developing. 

The Moon’s Karmic Nodes are points that are also linked to this Eclipse and are already known for bringing in more Karmic situations, so the truth is coming out, secrets are being revealed as information comes to light. So it’s a time of decisions if you are ready or not!

These kinds of Astrological connections haven’t come together like this for over 700 years! Even though we have Eclipses every year, it’s just the way they are connecting to other planets that are so rare. 

We are all being affected by this energy be it in small or big ways, but something is happening in your “Astrological Birth Chart” regardless how it’s affecting your life, which started during the first Eclipse at the beginning of January. Now there is more to come and more information to be revealed as the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse comes together. As we get closer to this energy peaking you may just gain some sort of preview as to just what your personal transformation may be about.

Eclipse energy is often far-reaching, and can affect us for weeks, months, and even years after it occurs. This Eclipse gives us a chance to connect to something you might feel passionately about. The energy is potent and heightened and some folks will feel like they are on an emotional roller coaster. But just as new doors swing wide open with the Jan Eclipses, this next one on Jan 21 also can close some old doors as well. This is an amazing time to MANIFEST something, so get out a notebook and write down your INTENTIONS, and then FEEL them, based on what you would like to see happen next in your life and put emphasis on what you would like to let go of, what is no longer working for you. This higher energy is perfect to tap into and make things just happen. But also the very next day on the 22nd, there is an interesting connection between lucky Jupiter and beautiful Venus, this conjunction as it’s called is also Trining Mars, again good stuff! So bottom line this energy is at an unbelievably high point and it can help us create something positive in our lives.

So do something proactive, and be out and among other people, so the Universe can hopefully cross your path and bring something good to you. Don’t allow this day to pass you by without doing something! Many Astrologers are calling this the “great shift” just because of its energy alone, but also there is a major conjunction or connection between Saturn and powerful Pluto underway, and this energy is slowly building up now and will transform the world as we know it, as well as our own lives! The Jan 5th Solar Eclipse kicked this energy up into high gear and will continue to lead us to it peaks through Jan.12, 2020

Sun Enters Scorpio – Rebirth!

The Sun is shifting into transformational, mysterious Scorpio and “Scorpio Season” officially begins. This transit runs through November 21st. The sign of Scorpio is notoriously known for being the darkest, (symbolically speaking) most mysterious, and psychological sign in the Zodiac, as it explores the soul deeply while under the light of the Sun.

Scorpio energy for each and every one of us is about depth, intimacy, and transformation. Anything fake or false will be shown for what it truly is while the Sun is in this sign, so if something or someone is superficial it simply won’t work for us at this time, only the real deal will do! Scorpio is the detective of the Zodiac, therefore we are more interested in getting to the bottom of our problems, to uncover what’s been hidden, suppressed, or unseen, or even unknown. Under this energy, you might actually enjoy all that is odd, taboo, or different. Anything that’s just plain or average may not be enough during this time.

Over the last month during Libra season we worked towards being fair and equal. But while under all this Scorpio energy we accept the fact that “life isn’t fair” and understand that pain and suffering are actually part of the process of life. In order to truly evolve the soul we must transform ourselves  which means we must end something to begin anew. Scorpio energy is sexy, mysterious, and provocative, so there is going to may be something interesting that sparks up in our relationships. We often look for a love that is committed and long-term during this time. This Scorpio influence keeps us perhaps a little more reserved about how passionate we are feeling, but we can still be strong-willed and intense, as this is a time of powerful emotions and some of you might feel rather emotional during its transit! The more shadow side of Scorpio energy is we can become more easily jealous, paranoid, obsessive, and manipulative. And this energy also can cause some folks to become obsessive, going on and on about issue or problem, over and over again, and even if you get nowhere you might find it hard to stop once you have started on whatever you are focused on. Despite how scary or creepy this all might sound, Scorpio is still part of the Zodiac Wheel, and we all have a little Scorpio in each of us.

Curious Mercury and loving Venus are also in the sign of Scorpio where they will stay throughout Scorpio Season. This means our soul, hearts, and minds are all being ruled by Scorpio energy, therefore, some of you will be breaking things down to rise up once again, and perhaps resurrect yourselves in some way. This can be an amazing energy to work with if you want to finish something in your life, after all, Scorpio Season is a time of endings, hence why we choose to celebrate Halloween during this time, as it originated from the Day of the Dead. But this also signifies a time of rebirth, and you can rise again.

During this time of breakdown we might face some real challenges, also with larger than life Jupiter currently in Scorpio. There are so many planets either in Scorpio or moving through it, that we are already starting to see its influence as it’s a bit of a darker time, where lots of folks are getting sick and quite a few are choosing to leave this earthly plane and crossover. This just might be the theme for the next 3 weeks or so. We are in the breakdown for now folks, but this is also a time of powerful transformation. Then once we enter into Sagittarius season starting November 23rd, we can start to work on rebuilding our lives and getting what we really want, especially with lucky Jupiter moving into the sign it rules, Sagittarius, for nearly 12 months!

Mercury Goes Out of Retrograde on August 19th and Goes Direct once again HOORAY!!

Mercury the planet of communication, ruler of our thinking processes turns direct, and a plan will finally start to come together! Now is the time to incorporate all that you’ve have learned during its Retrograde cycle, so if you have been thinking about or reviewing something important since July 25th (or a few weeks prior), when Mercury turned Retrograde, and you have used this time wisely now you can proceed with fewer obstacles and get on the right path, because you are informed and have a more realistic understanding about where you stand and what you need to be doing in order to be successful. With all the knowledge you now have, you are just better prepared and ready to make important decisions about your life.

Still, keep in mind that Mercury’s change in direction occurs also close to the time when the Solar Eclipse/New Moon occurs. Well, it’s that time again folks, things are starting to really slow down as “Mercury goes Retrograde”, this makes for an interesting Cosmic mix this summer, as this energy brings twists and turns that can cause confusion. Just mentioning this Astrological event causes some high anxiety!

~Mercury is officially Retrograde from July 25 – Aug 18.

If you don’t know what Mercury in Retrograde is let me help ya out. It’s when the planet Mercury appears to be going backward from our perspective here on Earth. Such a large celestial body coming to a halt in its cosmic journey comes with its repercussions and affects our lives.

There are already several other planets in Retrograde right now, and the majority of these Retrogrades aren’t as annoying as Mercury can be, or at least we just don’t notice their effects in the same way, because Mercury is closer to the Sun and is considered to be an inner-planet rather than an outer-planet like Neptune. So with a Retrograde only lasting for three weeks, it tends to wreak some havoc in a very short amount of time, and this is intense for us to handle mentally.

Since Mercury rules over our cognitive skills and processing, it affects how we communicate, express ourselves, and think, but it also affects technology and transportation. Glitches and snafus seem to be strong during this Retrograde time. Often Mercury in Retrograde will cause delays in our thinking, but it also can cause things like mistakes and errors and if you work with any kind of computer or paperwork this can be a highly annoying time! During this cycle watch for things like travel delays, losing important paperwork, computer and phones breaking down, awkward social interactions, ex’s both friends and lovers come back into our lives (this doesn’t mean we are meant to be back together with them.)

This cycle again affects how we think, therefore all kinds of odd little things can happen, like mistaking a word or sentence for something completely different than what is written, or you can hear someone say something and realize later they didn’t say it at all! Our minds have moved down into a different realm now, and we must learn how to listen to our “Intuition” to understand things that we normally cognitively would just know. So our messages from the Universe don’t come in so clearly now, things are not black or white, we are in the grey folks! Therefore, the only way to really understand things is to go by how we are FEELING, let that little voice inside you, your higher power, or guides help you by learning how to connect more so to your spirit during this time, and you can coast along and understand some things like you never have before, it can actually be a process of discovery like no other. Also, during Mercury in Retro, we tend to learn things about others and situations that we never knew before, so pay attention to the information that is coming in now it can be important later.

This time around Mercury is in the proud sign of Leo, so expect issues to come up between July 25 and Aug 18. But the Universe always creates some sort of balance and even though Mercury in Retrograde causes some mayhem for us, it is never without a purpose. During this time you are seriously supposed to be taking a time out from your daily grind, and responsibilities, yes it is a great time to take a long vacation if you can, just expect delays if you travel. It is time to turn inward into deep introspection within ourselves, rather than work against these Cosmic forces. In fact, you shouldn’t be “Starting Anything New” or take any risky moves until this cycle is done. Instead, you should be reviewing, re-working, or redoing, and organizing things in your life. Look at what you have already been working on, and start preparing in advance to avoid problems during the actual Retrograde cycle.

There will be a point when this Mercury in Retro cycle will challenge you and your ego because you are also being tested by Mercury to learn how to trust the Universe in all its crazy unpredictable energies. So, therefore, it’s never a great idea to take failure personally, instead see it as a lesson and a learning experience. If you are doing the work spiritually or even just working with the energies in some way, you should put faith in that the doing that work, simply just works! Are you ready for some romance in your life?
VENUS the planet of LOVE rules over our love life and our personal values, including money, is shifting gears from detached Aquarius and into more feeling, compassionate Pisces today.

Our perspective changes in our relationships with other folks as we don’t see things in black and white, but instead live and in color. The Goddess of Love in Pisces means we tend to express our love in a more embracing way, so we are better at forgiving and understanding others, and we can show more compassion to our partners and close friends. We also are more vulnerable and more easily seduced, but can be seductive ourselves. Pisces is a very sexual sign and energy for all of us.

Our hearts are more open as we see the beauty in others, which makes this a perfect time to meet someone new or to strengthen the spiritual bonds of an existing relationship. It’s a good time to spend time with those you love. Love doesn’t need to be expressed with words as much as we can intuitively just know what others are feeling!

With Venus in poetic Pisces, we tend to feel more tender and affectionate, but we still may be hard to reach on some levels, because there’s a stronger desire for something that we have a hard time understanding ourselves or defining for others, and therefore we are more difficult to satisfy.

SUN ENTERS AQUARIUS
Change Has Arrived!

Sun in Aquarius from January 19-February 18

Later today, the SUN shifts gears into strong-minded AQUARIUS through February 18th! This month-long cycle keeps us hungry for knowledge and experience. We now will be looking for new ways to do things, as we search for what feels original and unique! We become increasingly aware of what isn’t working anymore in our lives and strive to find new perspectives.
This issue with so many planets still in the sign of CAPRICORN is the energy doesn’t mesh well with free-spirited AQUARIUS, as it finds all the structure and order to be too rigid, cold, and restrictive.
Now that it’s officially AQUARIUS SEASON we as individuals are going to be seeking more freedom! We’re going to work very hard now to free ourselves from any restrictions, limitations, and inhibitions that keep us feeling blocked and constrained rather than safe.
All of the energies I have described above are going to be stronger than usual with VENUS the planet of love & values also in the sign of AQUARIUS now through February 10th! So this means there’s lots of movement, excitement, and exciting things that are about to be discovered!

“Weekly Update”

The MOON remains in grounding Capricorn through Tuesday, which affects all of the ZODIAC SIGNS! It’s a good time to take it easy & wind down with the NEW MOON coming in tomorrow. Get things organized and wrapped up, finish projects and then you can work on starting brand new things Tuesday.

We’re under the influence of the SUN connecting to shocking URANUS already, this sucker is bringing on changes, shocks, and out of the ordinary situations, (Hawaii for example), it’s a very strong high energy that makes things just buzz. For now, start writing out those Intentions & Wish Lists for the NEW MOON Tuesday!

Tensions rise with loving VENUS and foggy NEPTUNE meeting now, and our way of thinking and perspective is more about seeing what we want and what will bring us instant gratification. We can miss important details and make mistakes during this time. Pay extra close attention to things! Not everything is as it seems.

Later, the planets of luck & opportunity and power & evolution, JUPITER & PLUTO make a powerful, beautiful connection. This is the first of 3 meetings in a series that will continue to meet back up through September. As this energy plays in the background of our lives we can feel more alive, confident, faithful, and insightful, especially during the times it comes exact, like this week, and then again in April & September. But whatever events or situations it kicks off in your life can be life-changing, as this is a make-it or break-it kind of energy, that brings in powerful opportunities & growth potential! Just remember often growth is painful, so don’t expect rainbows until after the rain!

The JUPITER/PLUTO connection can help you nurture your ambitions, so if you work extra hard you can experience major transformations in your life. There’s a strong pull for something with more deeper meaning and this motivates us to go after our personal & professional goals. It’s easy to manipulate others under this influence or persuade them into giving us what we want. But now is the time to take steps towards bettering ourselves and solving long-standing problems or go after something more aggressively that was hidden or ignored. This influences second meeting in April will be a fertile time to manifest the things we desire even more so.

With six planets now in grounding Capricorn, we can see the importance in focusing and concentration when we express ourselves, as we are on point! The energies are slowed down for now which gives us more time to get organized and get things done, however starting mid-week loving VENUS and the SUN will both shift into strong-minded and willed AQUARIUS. This really helps us get moving again and more focused on our future, as time will pick up and we will get very busy, so enjoy this slowed down energy for the next few days, it’s almost over.

Finally, some great news, all of the PLANETS are currently moving in a DIRECT MOTION! That means no RETROGRADE PLANETS! It’s go time folks, as this is the time to make things happen and take action, don’t sit back and wait or plan, that should have all been done the last half of 2017! You have through the second week of March when JUPITER changes the game and is the first PLANET to turn RETROGRADE once again! No Worries, keep reading my blogs and I will help keep you informed and remind you how to ride this wave once it comes, this is something you will want to pay attention to, however.
