August 21st, 2017

The New Moon in Leo comes together Monday, August 21st, 2017 which is also a rare Solar Eclipse! The most anticipated and debated astrological event of the Summer is finally upon us.

Central: 1:30pm
Eastern: 2.30pm
Mountain: 12:30pm
Pacific: 11:30pm
A NEW MOON represents a New Cycle that the cosmos brings into help us create new beginnings. This also happens to be the day of the “Great American Solar Eclipse”, so let’s just get the facts straight:

– NEW MOONS ARE ALSO CALLED “DARK MOONS,” because they give off the lowest light during a calendar month.

– NEW MOONS are when the SUN is Conjunct the MOON. A new moon is a moment when the Sun and Moon are in conjunction, meaning that the Sun and Earth are on the opposite sides of the Moon.

– This NEW MOON is in the sign of Leo astrological this time around.

– On Monday, Aug. 21st the sky will go dark for a short period of time due to the SOLAR ECLIPSE!

– A SOLAR ECLIPSE, as viewed from Earth, occurs when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, fully or partially from the Sun.

– A SOLAR ECLIPSE typically only happens with a NEW MOON, when the Sun and the Moon are in conjunction.

– In partial and annular Eclipses, only part of the Sun is obscured; during a total eclipse, the disk of the Sun is fully obscured by the Moon, the Eclipse on August 21, 2017, is a Total one.

 

This New Moon cycle is the second of two New Moon’s both in Leo in a month. This Solar Eclipse marks the grand finale to this tumultuous “Eclipse Season” and a blazing new beginning on a personal and collective level. Leo is the most dramatic or more like theatrical and radiant sign of the Zodiac signs.

July’s New Moon in Leo was connected strongly to fiery Mars also in Leo, and that fiery energy was the booster to set this energy into motion.

However, the August New Moon’s energy feels more solid, stubborn, resolute, and uncompromising so there won’t be any hesitation, doubt, or resistance allowed at this time!

This New Moon brings with it a mysterious dark shadow that is cast on Earth, due to the “Total Solar Eclipse” also occurring, and this can be a positive influence that helps brings out our intuitive nature, therefore dreams and visions have been quite strong. But it asks us to embrace our weaknesses, and tap into our inner confidence and strength.

The Eclipse is also making a connection to the fixed star “Regulus” the “Heart of the Lion”, so how perfectly fitting for a New Moon in “Leo”. This Star is known as the “little king” and is often associated with royalty and authority, and is believed to be, “the stars, star!”, because of how strongly it affects folks who are in the public eye lives, like movie stars and entertainers.

Regulus adds some serious juice to this rare. cosmic event. Its energy demands nothing less than loyalty and integrity from us, and intense devotion and passion, that only can match this stars warmth, generosity, and brilliance.

Astrologically speaking, it doesn’t matter where the shadow of this Eclipse touches our corner of the world, this is a strong energetic gateway that we all are about to walk through, and it creates evolutionary changes within all of us!During this New Moon in Leo, our focus should be on building up our self-confidence by discovering our own paths as individuals. So ask yourself what you want in your life for you, not for your kids or a partner, but just for yourself. This energy also asks us to learn what our special gifts and talents are, and what creative skills we possess. There’s a New Moon occurring Sunday morning, which makes this the best time to set some powerful intentions around your future goals with the Universe and work a little Magic!

*We have all the way through Tuesday early morning around 5:23 AM EST and 4:23 AM CST to SET INTENTIONS!*

During a New Moon cycle, we should be asking the Universe for new beginnings, by planting seeds of intention from our heart and getting in touch with our higher-self. It’s a good time to be grateful for what we have and work on manifesting what energy we want to come in next. What I mean by that is we can create whatever it is we desire, such as a better life, more money, happiness, love…it doesn’t really matter, but we have to do some things to make it really happen. And no not everything you want is going to just magically appear. But at least by “Setting Intentions” with the energy of the New Moon, you’ve made it clear to the Universe what path you’d like to begin heading down and that’s a start. Then the energies will begin to line up to get you there.

The intentions that are set during a New Moon will set you on the right path towards your desires. The New Moon is a magical time of beginnings when you can recharge goals or set new ones. During the New Moon, we often experience an “energy shift.”

Here are some ideas on what to Manifest under a New Moon:

1. Get clear about something you want and write it down.

2. Share your intention with someone in a supportive way, and who will be encouraging.

3. Do something today to demonstrate your commitment to your intention.

4. Acknowledge that you did what you said you would, and then take the next step.

So have a conversation with the Universe (meaning your higher power, God, Source, Guides, Angels, etc), and ask the New Moons energy to help illuminate the path that leads you towards your deepest desires. Simply ask to be led to what you’re choosing to manifest. Remember to be patient and simply allow the time needed, things don’t always happen right away, but we can get taken down certain paths to find our way to what it is we’re looking for… and sometimes magic just happens.

What if you don’t know how to “Set Intentions” under the New Moon?

Follow the Steps below to learn how:

Step One: Clear your sacred space

Clear the energy of the area or room you’re using to do New Moon work in. You’ll simply be calling in some positive energy to work with. Burn some sage or Incense and clear the energies. close your eyes and breathe deeply … and call upon your guides, Angels, or higher power in and ask to have your sacred space cleared, and then to fill it up with the energy of love and light. Never leave energy empty, always fill it with something once you’ve cleared it.

Step Two: Set the atmosphere

Set the mood for your “New Moon” Ritual and again burn some special incense, light some candles (and colors of candles do have different energies and meanings), play some music that helps you feel spirituality connected. This can be very different for everyone. Just makes sure to use whatever colors or tools that make you feel calm, centered, happy, and peaceful.

Step Three: Setting Intentions

You’re going to need a notebook, paper, or a journal and something to write with. Think about where you’re going to do all this work at because we create an energy vortex wherever we sit or sleep. This is mainly why you feel so good in your favorite chair because it’s comfortable and feels safe and secure, but also because you have created an energy vortex in that spot.

Now write what energy you’d like the Universe to bring in. Simply write your deepest desires, wishes, and questions. Think about what energy you’re trying to manifest or create. Write a letter, like as if you are talking to an old friend. Think about what energy you’re trying to bring into your life and be detailed.

As you’re doing this work and setting your intentions, here are some helpful questions you can think about … for example; ask what you’re choosing or what changes you would like to see in your life? What are you or should you be calling in? How do you feel about what is happening in your life now, and what do you want to create? Think about your long-term goals and future and what you’d like that to look like over the next month. Be careful about focusing on the how, why, and when of your goals, focus more on what it is you’re wanting and how you want to feel. Let the Universe take care of the rest.

Step Four: Visualize

It’s time to visualize what you’ve written. Close your eyes and take long deep breaths, so in your nose and out your mouth. See the energy of your heart center, that’s in the middle of your chest (not your pumping heart) but your spiritual heart or commonly referred to as the “Heart Chakra.” Visualize yourself in what you’re trying to create or manifest. For example; see yourself living in that new home, falling in love with that Soul-Mate, driving that new car. Just don’t think it, make sure and FEEL IT as if you were really experiencing what you’re visualizing.

Allow the Universe to show you which paths to follow over the next 30 days, and then allow the New Moon to light up those paths that you are supposed to be going down, so you may bring in what you truly desire, and let go of what you don’t want, it’s not serving your higher good and it’s blocking you from your desires.

“The Beginning”

Rare and Exciting Energy!

There are actually two New Moons in Leo over the course of the next month, which is actually quite unusual. All planets move by degrees that go from 0 to 29, and these two New Moons are very interesting indeed, because the first one that forms on July 23rd is at 0 Degrees and the second one on Aug. 21st is at 29 Degrees, so we have New Beginnings and Endings, and then a massive Solar Eclipse comes together as well on August 21st.

New Moons represent the end of one cycle and the beginning of another new 28-day cycle, this particular New Moon is when the Sun and Moon are both in Leo, and conjunct each other, so they work together to create an amazing rare energy that represents New Beginnings coming into our lives.

This New Moon represents all things Leo, so we should be focusing on some new ways to make certain parts of our lives better, like the romance in our relationships and in the relationships we have with our children, but also how we use our creativity and around any hobbies we do. This Leo energy also helps us to build up our self-confidence and pride we have in ourselves. so work on loving yourself some more.

The upcoming New Moon’s influence runs right through the August 21st very powerful Solar Eclipse! The best time to create a strong new beginning or a new project is during the first two weeks right after it comes together. Which means this energy runs right until the Lunar Eclipse on Aug. 7th. It’s something you don’t want to miss out on, so be sure to not ignore this one and “Set Intentions” or make out “Wish Lists”, and write down what it is you want to have shown up in your life starting this Sunday, and then get out there and take actions between now and August 7th to make it happen.

This New Moon reveals some interesting info. like it can help you connect to your Spirit Guides, Higher Power, Angels, or whatever you spiritually connect too. It also tends to bring out family secrets, therefore it can create challenges within the family. On the positive side, this energy does also create the space for us to reconnect with loved ones and family. So if you are going to meet up with any family over the next few months, just be aware that skeletons can come falling out of the closet! And make sure those secrets don’t catch you off guard.

The Universe is already sending out messages about what the August 21st Solar Eclipse is going to bring into your life, so pay attention and watch for signs and symbols, and maybe jot them down somewhere to review later as we get closer to the actual Eclipse.

There is also some less favorable tense energy with this New Moon coming together. Being with or around anyone who is even remotely annoying or frustrating can really send you over the edge, with so many planets in Leo right now we can be driven crazy quite quickly as our nerves are easily rattled. Due to feeling more easily irritated we can let the small things get to us. Also, watch your temper, it’s all too easy to lose your cool and end up telling folks off in true Leo fashion, Ya know that’s Lions Roar! And others might actually realize how easily annoyed you are getting and take it personally and then feelings can get hurt.

Don’t worry as there are some major positive vibes coming off this New Moon mostly, and you have some powerful energy to create and manifest some really good energy in your life, as we’ll be in this energy for awhile with another New Moon in Leo in August!
