February puts us in a romantic state of mind with Venus, the Goddess of Love entering the free-spirited sign of Aquarius. And she stays there just through February 25th. Finally Venus shifts from the serious sign of Capricorn into Aquarius, and our love lives become more wild and rebellious, so we can play and have some fun again! It really can be a love and lust free-for-all during this cycle.
Detached Affections
With Venus in Aquarius, we tend to see everyone as equal, regardless of our differences. We can end up in some pretty interesting relationships and love entanglements, which can be strictly platonic and otherwise. This is an extremely social energy, with so many planets in the sign of Aquarius. And is good for our relationships but it also can be a dangerous time with COVID still running rapidly! We must be more mindful than ever to be extra careful! Our affections don’t run as deeply, as we are more focused on taking care of business and keeping ourselves secure, especially financially. So we can be somewhat cold or appear emotionless at times with others.
Manifesting Ideas
The New Moon occurs on February 11th and joins up with the ongoing Stellium of planets in the sign of Aquarius, which includes Saturn, Jupiter, Venus, and Mercury, along with the Sun and Moon, and also the asteroid Pallas! This is some seriously strong fixed air energy that keeps our minds wide-open, active, and stimulated. There are brilliant ideas and A-ha moments going around this month, and this New Moon highlights them, so pay attention to what signs and symbols the Universe is sending. It is a time of acceptance as we are more willing to make changes for the good of all. If we focus, we can manifest our dreams, hopes, visions, and desires.
Revolutionary Times
In 2020 the Saturn/Pluto Conjunction dominated our lives, and similarly, a tense Square between Saturn and Uranus forms on February 17th and will be in the backdrop of our lives throughout 2021! Its presence will be known in all our lives.
The Saturn/Uranus cycle began 33 yrs ago, back when these two planets aligned on February 12th, 1988. There will be two more meetings between these two impacting the year, on June 14th and December 24th, 2021. Even though they connect on these dates, and their energies will be stronger at that time, the energy they put out continues to play out throughout the year.
With Uranus’s influence involved, this is a strong time for change to occur and when revolutions are born! We’ve already seen how these energies play out over the last several months! We are on a journey of self-discovery as we evolve into something new and different. Truly it seems to be good versus evil!
Saturn is naturally cautious and disciplined, while Uranus is impulsive but connects us to higher sources. When pushed, Saturn’s energy can be more rigid and demanding, whereas Uranus can cause fanatic, rebellious, and shocking behavior. Saturn and Uranus are completely opposite in some ways. Saturn wants us to follow the rules, while Uranus often wants freedom at all costs. The energy these two planets put out when they connect shifts and changes a bit, as they both rule over the sign of Aquarius! So we might be able to have more of an appreciation for what these two planets have in common.
The push and pull of making important changes will be ongoing all year long. This influence demands that we make important changes in our lives that give us more freedom and independence. But also create solid foundations that we can build upon for our future plans and goals. The evidence of this planetary alignment has been strong for a while now. And its story will continue to be written throughout the year.
Pisces Season
The Sun will enter the sign of Pisces on February 18th, so we can feel more sensitive to the energies around us and be more vulnerable and impressionable. But we’re more compassionate and loving at times. Our ego is not as driven under this influence, so we can be more selfless. This influence puts us in touch with our imagination and intuition, as our inner muse is clearer. We tend to see the beauty in the flaws and differences in each other, so we’re more accepting of others for who they are, even if we have a difference of opinion. The Sun will be in Pisces through March 21st.
Mercury Goes Direct!
Mercury in Aquarius is currently in Retrograde, but on February 20th, it will start to move forward once again. This energy gives us the ability to take advantage of plans for the future. At this point, we will have had nearly a month to review our life. With so much Aquarius energy at play, we have an opportunity to work on self-discovery and to develop better. This influence gives us some time to heal and reconnect with love in some fashion, with both others and ourselves. We are collectively making huge energetic shifts, which require changes to be made in our personal lives.
Spiritual Love
The Goddess of Love will shift once again on February 25th, when Venus moves into more compassionate Pisces and joins the Sun in the sign of the fish, Pisces. Our emotions run much deeper. Our love lives get shifted away from emotionally detached Aquarius. This vibe is romantic, and we can feel strongly compassionate! More empathy and sympathy energies are going around. People tend to be more selfless in love, so our feelings can run deeper in our relationships and friendships. This will be a time to reconnect to your spiritual- self and get your Zen on! So practice energy workthat connects you to your spirit, through activities like meditation, journal-writing, exercise, and anything that helps you feel more connected to your higher-power or higher-self!
A Perfect Full Moon
The Full Moon occurs on February 27th in the sign of Virgo. In a time of perfectionism, we can see what is broken and needs to be fixed in our relationships, lives, and ourselves. Under this Virgo energy, we can feel strongly about keeping our life more organized and in order. But that doesn’t always mean it’s so easy to accomplish. Baby steps!
With the Sun in Pisces will be in opposition to the Full Moon. The energies flow better but also can be chaotic. An inner struggle is happening for all of us, with such things as doubt and faith, fear and trust, and pessimism and optimism. It’s a powerful time when we need to strike a balance between sticking to traditional ways and making progress. Innovation is the key to success, which can be tricky, but we can find a balance.
