Aries Season has arrived! On March 20, the Sun shifted into the sign of the Ram, Aries and a New Astrological Year started.
And the first New Moon of the New Astrological Year is on Friday, April 1, 2022, at 11° Aries, peaking early in the morning. This New Moon’s energy is strongest at its peak, but its influence will be strong for a few days. So, schedule time for self-love and Set some powerful Intentions during this cycle.
The Sun, Moon, Mercury, & Chiron are all in the firey sign of Aries, now forming a Stellium. It’s a time to start something new, initiate, and strategize. Use this Aries energy, and allow the confidence and directness you’re feeling to get things done.
The Aries New Moon cycle is a time of self-focus and discovery. It teaches us how to be assertive but not overly harsh. Take these potent energies and tackle challenges to discover what your inner courage feels like so you can use it again.
This strong cycle helps us understand our relationship with ourselves and is an opportunity to make improvements and important changes to our lives. Make plans that are solid and realistic. It’s time for something fresh and new, so breathe new life into projects.
Aries is the Zodiac’s first sign, so this New Moon can be beneficial as it offers new beginnings and opportunities. Acting on a hunch or taking a risk might be in our favor, so we may need to go with our gut and impulses and just go for it! But only if we’re not agitated; otherwise, all this Aries energy can make you feel like a hot-head, and you can lose your cool.
The New Moon in Aries encourages us to learn from experiences and actions, so taking a little adventure can be a treat now. It’s a good cycle to discover authentic expression and get straight to the point.
Aries energy teaches all of us how to be happy doing things independently. Relying on ourselves can feel empowering. When we know we are self-sufficient, it brings a sense of inner peace. We always need people in one way or another, but accomplishing things on our own is healing. Through our experiences, we can revitalize ourselves by breaking routines and starting something new.
This New Moon aligns with curious Mercury and occurs when all the major Planets are still direct from Retrograde. Our minds are confident and courageous, and fewer obstacles are in our way.
However, Mars (the ruler of Aries) conjuncts Saturn, and even though we’re ready to work hard, we should pace ourselves because we might be dealing with some fear of not being first. So if we feel rushed, we can be impulsive, which can cause mistakes and accidents. Be mindful of how fast you’re moving, and slow down and pay attention.
The New Moon energies offer us the space for creation without fear. Be sure to take your time and focus on moving forward, as we can get caught up in our heads which looks like acting stubborn, headstrong, and even reckless or immature.
But really, Aries encourages us to be fierce protectors of our loved ones, and sometimes that means not acting rationally or thinking logically. First and foremost, it values loyalty and respect! So we can be extremely passionate and highly emotional, but also brave and courageous. We want to motivate others, lead people to victory in even the smallest of challenges, and keep things truthful. Keywords for Aries are independent, confident, self-determined, creative, inspirational & victorious.
Aries is the first sign of the Zodiac and is ruled by Mars, the planet of action, passion, and desires, characterized by war, aggression, and assertiveness. So, finding a balance when working with this explosive energy is important because Aries also embodies the innocence of human beings and how truly vulnerable we are.
New Moon Peak Times 2:24 AM EDT 1:24 AM CST 12:24 AM MST March 31, 11:24 PM PST
This Lunar energy magnifies our New Moon wishes or intentions. Over the next six months, patterns will play out in our lives until the Full Moon occurs in Aries.
Tap into your heart and be true to yourself, and write out a list of what you want to happen in your life. What are your hopes, dreams, and desires? Write them all down. This energy work is called “Setting Intentions.”
Aries is a Fire Sign, so the best way to create something is to write out a list of intentions. Then you can burn them or keep them for a later date. But be careful! We are under extremely heavy fire energy. With so many planets in Aries, anything that causes fire can be dangerous.
We are covered in Aries energy that is extremely potent. It brings about many opportunities for new beginnings. So you don’t want to miss out on this New Moon. It’s just too special. Set new goals, make new plans, act on your hunches, and set intentions. You’ll be glad you did!
April is a busy month, so get ready folks, with Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto all going into Retrograde phases this month, it’s a time for reassessment around what you are doing in your life. And with four planets in magical Pisces, the focus is more on imagination and illumination than practical matters. This period is wonderful for creativity and spiritual exploration but it’s best to wait until at least April 5th before making decisions that require focus, or a the very least some careful thought and consideration.
Since our plans and projects will be under such an intense review throughout the month of April we must make sure an align our goals with our life’s purpose. It’s also a good time to stop any activities that just are simply holding you back, or aren’t serving you. Quit wasting valuable time and energy. If you take the time to review your goals and plans this month than you’ll probably see progress in the fall when things really take off again. But for now, you have some lessons to get through and hopefully learn from.
April 2nd – Creative Confusion
Mercury just recently out of its Retrograde cycle (but still in the after Rx Shadow phase through the 16th) makes a powerful connection to Neptune the king of dreams and escape. Mercury rules our mind and how we think, communicate, and perceive information. Neptune rules over things like our imagination, spirituality, and deceptions. This influence can inspire you and others, so you may feel highly creative. This also can help you communicate your dreams to the person you adore.
But it’s also causing confusion with mental Mercury just in the after-Shadow period of Retrograde, also in Pisces, as well as Neptune. All in all, this energy can make things unclear and foggy. If something sounds too good to be true it probably is. Don’t get ripped off or scammed, deception is in the air right now. Find ways to be inspired, get creative and this fog will finally be lifting for good in a few days.
April 4th – Power Moves
Powerful Pluto makes an intense connection to the Lunar South Node point both in the sign of Capricorn. Some folks could try to make bold moves to gain power or control during this time. So there may be some pretty wild upheavals. There can be ego battles that can be destructive in one way or another. If you force issues on others without taking responsibility for your own actions it can backfire on you. This is not a good time to just go after things on a whim without seriously taking consideration your consequences. Take some time to evaluate your goals and make plans for your next move, so you can get what it is you really want, but just make sure to not bump heads along the way, or it will only cause you more problems.

Making progress will come to a halt as this cosmic turnaround tends to slow us down. This is a cycle of reflection into what gives your life deeper meaning, and what helps you feel more abundant. This isn’t typically a time of difficulty, but when Jupiter gets ready to turn Retrograde it can seriously slow us down as it’s an influence is more intense feeling. This actually can cause you to feel a sense of urgency and desire to find something more expansive in your life and to get rid of the things that are restricting you, holding you back, or that are keeping you from feeling happy or satisfied. Every now and then the Universe has a way of making us take a time out to review our lives, to make sure that our plans and projects are still what we want and need. Through August 11th is a time for cutbacks on the activities that don’t help you reach your goals, and to rid of any distractions that waste your time, energy, and money! This Full Moon in Libra, the sign of balance and integration, encourages us to find ways to leave behind anything that is standing in our way of finding balance. Something might have to come to an end in order for us to find peace and harmony. It’s all about being fair as our sense of justice is stronger than usual, put your focus on strengthening the bonds in your current relationships. Even though the Full Moon is always a time of endings, it is a time to work on releasing the energies that no longer are working for you. April 20 – Blazing Love
The Goddess of love, Venus is moving into the first sign of the Zodiac, Aries, this brings fresh new energy into your love life and around your finances. This cycle brings love on rather quickly, relationships both new and old are more direct and spontaneous. Under this fiery influence, we tend to hunt each other down in matters of the heart, as we are more bold, courageous, aggressive, and impatient. Even though we can much more direct than usual with the folks we love and care for, some of you might be more reserved about your deeper emotions, and if you are feeling insecure you can get kind of aggressive or mean, especially if someone isn’t validating or expressing love back. This can cause some folks to be more sneaky and strategic when it comes to matters of the heart or anything involving money. Under the Venus in Aries influence we don’t look back to the past, it is a time to move forward. Each day is looked at as new and full of opportunities, so each moment matters more. We are not interested in anything mushy or things like apologies, we simply enjoy the chase and conquest. Relationships that are more long-term can use this fiery energy to reignite their passions, and if single love that is initiated now can sizzle out fast. Make sure and keep things moving forward if you want a new commitment around love or money, but also pay attention to what will happen in the long-term unless you are just looking for a hookup! This will run through May 15th.

Most of all stay true to yourself and honor other people’s desire to express who they are and their own unique qualities.
