April is a busy month, so get ready folks, with Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto all going into Retrograde phases this month, it’s a time for reassessment around what you are doing in your life. And with four planets in magical Pisces, the focus is more on imagination and illumination than practical matters. This period is wonderful for creativity and spiritual exploration but it’s best to wait until at least April 5th before making decisions that require focus, or a the very least some careful thought and consideration.
Since our plans and projects will be under such an intense review throughout the month of April we must make sure an align our goals with our life’s purpose. It’s also a good time to stop any activities that just are simply holding you back, or aren’t serving you. Quit wasting valuable time and energy. If you take the time to review your goals and plans this month than you’ll probably see progress in the fall when things really take off again. But for now, you have some lessons to get through and hopefully learn from.
April 2nd – Creative Confusion
Mercury just recently out of its Retrograde cycle (but still in the after Rx Shadow phase through the 16th) makes a powerful connection to Neptune the king of dreams and escape. Mercury rules our mind and how we think, communicate, and perceive information. Neptune rules over things like our imagination, spirituality, and deceptions. This influence can inspire you and others, so you may feel highly creative. This also can help you communicate your dreams to the person you adore.
But it’s also causing confusion with mental Mercury just in the after-Shadow period of Retrograde, also in Pisces, as well as Neptune. All in all, this energy can make things unclear and foggy. If something sounds too good to be true it probably is. Don’t get ripped off or scammed, deception is in the air right now. Find ways to be inspired, get creative and this fog will finally be lifting for good in a few days.
April 4th – Power Moves
Powerful Pluto makes an intense connection to the Lunar South Node point both in the sign of Capricorn. Some folks could try to make bold moves to gain power or control during this time. So there may be some pretty wild upheavals. There can be ego battles that can be destructive in one way or another. If you force issues on others without taking responsibility for your own actions it can backfire on you. This is not a good time to just go after things on a whim without seriously taking consideration your consequences. Take some time to evaluate your goals and make plans for your next move, so you can get what it is you really want, but just make sure to not bump heads along the way, or it will only cause you more problems.
April 5th – New Moon in Aries – New Beginnings
There’s a New Moon in the sign of Aries occurring and whatever you’ve been planning or working on can finally start to get moving. This energy gives us a chance to breathe new life into already existing projects. This is all about “New Beginnings” in a big bold way! As the first sign of the Zodiac, Aries is all about courage, and it gives us a huge dose of higher confidence and energy to take on our tasks, projects, and goals and make things happen! The Pluto-South Node alignment is also occurring around the same time frame, so this can help us to be more practical, even if we are more daring with new and innovative ideas. If you already know enough to make an informed decision, it’s important to not be indecisive. Try to be patient and look for more information around the next Full Moon on April 19 that will help you know what to do next.
April 10 – A Reality Check
The Sun is making a tense Square formation with taskmaster Saturn. It’s important to know what responsibilities you want to take on and what you don’t, it’s a good time for some assessment of your life. as you will be challenged to rid of the things that you are doing too much of or that might be taking up to much of your time and energy. It’s no longer “go big or go home,” instead your mantra for this time should be, “go small or give in! Create balance around what you want and that is for the greater good of everyone.
April 10 – Take a Step Back
Giant Jupiter is going to be making its yearly backward trip as it enters its Retrograde cycle for nearly four months. Making progress will come to a halt as this cosmic turnaround tends to slow us down. This is a cycle of reflection into what gives your life deeper meaning, and what helps you feel more abundant. This isn’t typically a time of difficulty, but when Jupiter gets ready to turn Retrograde it can seriously slow us down as it’s an influence is more intense feeling. This actually can cause you to feel a sense of urgency and desire to find something more expansive in your life and to get rid of the things that are restricting you, holding you back, or that are keeping you from feeling happy or satisfied.
Every now and then the Universe has a way of making us take a time out to review our lives, to make sure that our plans and projects are still what we want and need. Through August 11th is a time for cutbacks on the activities that don’t help you reach your goals, and to rid of any distractions that waste your time, energy, and money! Don’t worry about the projects that slowly go to the waste side, as they were a waste of your time anyway, During this cycle whatever plans don’t make the cut will turn out to probably be a blessing in disguise. Once Jupiter is direct, whatever plans or projects you have been working on will start to come together. You got a long time to sort it all out. April 13 – Power Moves
The Sun is making a tense Square to potent Pluto! With the Sun’s transit through the sign of Aries, most of us are trying to initiate something, but we might have to deal with some powerful energies for a few days. Perhaps a person who has their own agenda or situation might ask you to change something up that throws your original plans out the window! It’s a time to be paying close attention and for being more mindful of other folks needs, besides your own. You can’t always take and take from others and expect something if you are not giving anything back in return. You can also be challenged in some way to make sure you are empowering yourself. Don’t be stubborn and don’t give everything away either. You will know when the time comes what you need to do if you pay attention to your signs and messages from the Universe during this powerful few days.
April 17 – Quick Thinking
The planet of communication Mercury will enter into bolder, enterprising Aries that brings amazing new insights and flashes of genius. This can help us take any plans or projects we might have new directions. Just make sure these directions are on a path towards your life’s purpose in some way and not a huge detour. Take this time to connect with other folks who help stimulate your thinking and who are encouraging, as this cycle can help you rid of old behaviors and habits for a better future. Also, keep in mind that Aries is known for being the God of War. It’s not a time to be debating or arguing or you can get caught up in all the negative drama and those great ideas won’t get moving forward. Instead, direct your energy towards achieving goals so you can take full advantage of this transits that will run through May 6th.
April 19 – Full Moon in Libra – Balancing the Chaos
When the Sun in Aries makes a tense but exciting connection to the Moon in Libra a Full Moon will occur. We are just coming out of the New Moon cycle at this point that started on April 5th. This Full Moon cycle is at what’s called the critical degree or anaretic degree, this means completion and marks the end of one cycle and the evolution into another. This Full Moon in Libra, the sign of balance and integration, encourages us to find ways to leave behind anything that is standing in our way of finding balance. Something might have to come to an end in order for us to find peace and harmony. This is also a time of culmination as you get a chance to take a step back and see if you are doing right by others and if you are paying attention to the folks in your life and their needs and desires. It’s all about being fair as our sense of justice is stronger than usual, put your focus on strengthening the bonds in your current relationships. Even though the Full Moon is always a time of endings, it is a time to work on releasing the energies that no longer are working for you. But this will be a social Full Moon time, so it’s a great energy to have a party under or to spend some time with a close BFF, and since Libra is about relationships maybe have a romantic dinner with the object of your affection.
April 20 – Sun enters Taurus
This Sun cycle is a time when we simply slow down, but we are also more determined, patient, and stubborn. The energy of the sign of Taurus is more practical, grounded, and stable. This is a great help with so many other cosmic connections during this time speeding things up, we can take a time out and look more closely at events unfolding around us or any complicated situations we are involved in with some common sense. This transit highlights things that are pleasing, beautiful, and attractive. This will be a month of relying on what’s always worked in the past but also moving forward with the times, it’s about integrating tradition with evolution in our lives. You will want to be more comfortable during this time as well, so set up camp for the next month to make sure you have a safe and cozy place to hang out while the Sun is in Taurus. This cycle brings love on rather quickly, relationships both new and old are more direct and spontaneous. Under this fiery influence, we tend to hunt each other down in matters of the heart, as we are more bold, courageous, aggressive, and impatient. Even though we can much more direct than usual with the folks we love and care for, some of you might be more reserved about your deeper emotions, and if you are feeling insecure you can get kind of aggressive or mean, especially if someone isn’t validating or expressing love back. This can cause some folks to be more sneaky and strategic when it comes to matters of the heart or anything involving money. Under the Venus in Aries influence we don’t look back to the past, it is a time to move forward. Each day is looked at as new and full of opportunities, so each moment matters more. We are not interested in anything mushy or things like apologies, we simply enjoy the chase and conquest. Staying positive is key to being successful under this cycle, as it may not be as stable as some would like, but good things can happen. It’s a time to put your past behind you where it belongs, and keep an open mind about other people and embrace new thoughts and ideas. Most of all stay true to yourself and honor other people’s desire to express who they are and their own unique qualities.
April 24 – Power Plays – Pluto Retrograde
Powerful Pluto challenges us on how we use and gain personal power, when Pluto goes backward or Retrograde. How do you deal with power and control? Some folks can’t simply get enough of power, and others are nervous when they have more, and then there are a few folks who refuse to take control of anything in their lives when they should. When Pluto goes Retrograde, it brings about power struggles around well, power, people rise and fall from power during this time, as there are lots of plays for power made. This is a good time to do some soul searching around your own personal relationship with power. What are your goals? What do you want to achieve in life? Do you feel like you have power over someone else and their life or is someone making the decisions for you? This can affect any part of our lives, but for the next several months we will be figuring out to how to move forward in ways that make us happy, just be careful about who’s toes you step on or how many folks you use your power over to get there! Remember Karmic balance always comes into play with these sort of things and if you abuse or just use folks to get what you want, it will eventually catch up with you in one way or another. Pluto will be in its Retrograde cycle until October 3rd.
April 29 – Saturn goes Retrograde – Taking Responsibility
Saturn the planet of rules and boundaries goes into its yearly Retrograde phase. This is a time when we must review our lives and make sure what we going after is exactly what we still want. This Retro period lasts through September 18th. During this Retro cycle, we are taken back over territory that we probably have already been through at one point. Saturn is about taking our responsibilities, rules, and boundaries more seriously. So there are going to be areas of your life that are important to go back over and review, to see what you can do to make these situations more secure. This can be a frustrating time, so we have to face possible limitations, barriers, or working on ending habits that aren’t so good for our future long-term success.
April 30 – Saturn in Retrograde gets a boost!
To further enhance Saturn in Retrogrades energies, Saturn is in a conjunction with the Lunar South Node point. You may want to think about what you are being responsible for? Are you taking other folks burdens on or taking care of other people’s obligations? Do you think you should be the one in charge and are telling everyone else what you think they should be doing? Are you taking the steps to fix things when something comes up or are you enabling bad behavior? During this cycle, it’s time to go over your responsibilities and let go of old habits, old learned behaviors, and ways of thinking around who’s in charge and why!
