February of 2022 starts off a bit confusing, but there will be NO planets in Retrograde after the 3rd since Mercury is direct! Planets appear to change direction as they orbit the Sun all the time, and it’s actually more common than not, so it’s rare to have months without any Retrograde planets. This “No Retrograde” zone lasts until the end of April, when Pluto heads into its Retrograde cycle on April 29th.
With no planets Retrograde, it will feel like time speeds up and goes by faster. The past doesn’t matter so much or take up our time, so it’s important to be certain about your next move. This period of time can help make things move quickly and promotes growth. So it’s important to make your intentions known and clear with the Universe! We’ll be much more effective and productive if we stay focused, so take advantage of this time, go after what you want, and make your plans and goals come alive.

This month starts the Year of the (Water) Tiger in Lunar Astrology, 2022! It runs through January 21st, 2023. Mercury has moved direct! But unfortunately, it’s connected to powerful Pluto this first week of February, which creates another strong aspect. You can say things you don’t mean as the words can just fly out of your mouth, which can get you in trouble! Watch what you post on social media, folks, and be mindful about what you’re writing and talking about, as you can make people upset or even angry and cause controversy. No matter how communicated, our words hold more power than usual under these influences, so take responsibility for what you communicate.
February 4
The Sun conjuncts Saturn, which can put restrictions on everyone, and you may feel blocked or limited. Luckily this doesn’t last long. It is a good day to start new projects or tasks, but remember Mercury has just gone direct, which means starting anything brand new can go wonky! So it’s best to work on clearing space and clutter and organizing. If you can focus and not get distracted, you can accomplish quite a bit.

But our thinking is also practical, and we take our responsibilities more seriously due to Saturn co-ruling Aquarius energy. So this cycle continues to extend new and original ideas and things from the last New Moon. We can be emotionally detached on this day, but we still enjoy honoring traditions.

The Sun enters Pisces on February 18, starting Pisces season. Happy Birthday to all the brilliant fishes out there! Jupiter and Neptune are already in Pisces, and there will be a New Moon in Pisces on March 2nd. This Stellium of planets in Pisces will bring a creative burst into our lives where our imagination and sense of spirituality are strong! The energies will be much more relaxed and expansive until the Sun shifts around March 21st into Aries, and Spring begins.
The last week of the month brings in the more harmonious energies that are more supportive, especially in our relationships. And the Cosmic lover’s Mars and Venus harmonize with Neptune turning our attention to our spirit and who we love most, which helps lessen our ego’s reactions. Mercury harmonizes with Healer Chiron to help us understand and heal any toxic or negativity in our lives.
