Mercury, the planet of communication, has been burning through Sagittarius, the most upbeat, extra sign in the Zodiac for the past three and half weeks. You might have felt more optimistic, open-minded, and outspoken over the last month with Mercury in Sagittarius. But this has made it more difficult to focus on the details or use our words as carefully.
Mercury moved into Capricorn on December 13th, giving you a stronger sense of mental fortitude, confidence, and a hardworking attitude. Mercury, is the planet that rules over our way of thinking, and thought processes. It’s that time again, to be practical about what works or doesn’t. Since our thinking slows way down, we can be more serious during this cycle, but really we are just more focused.
It’s a great period to seek out people you know who are experienced or wise, especially if they’ve accomplished something you want to achieve. These mentors or teachers can give out some valuable advice, and even may connect you with the right people who can help you achieve your goals in the long run.
Working harder becomes our motto again, especially with the Sun’s shift into Capricorn as well on December 21st. Just remember you’ll reap the rewards later from the energy you put into getting things done now.
With Mercury in Capricorn, our thinking is much more systematic, and our focus is more practical and sober. Under this influence, it’s much easier to concentrate on the task at hand. But our conversations can bring up reality checks, as we focus more on business and practical matters. Our thought processes and patterns of communication are more logical, orderly, and organized now. It’s easier to sort out what is relevant and essential, which helps us KEEP THINGS REAL, as we speak in a no-nonsense manner. Being precise and cautious comes more naturally. However, we need to be wary of becoming too rigid with our thoughts and words, as we can appear cold, cut-off, or harsh to others, and there is a fine line between being real and pessimistic.
The Earth Signs Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn can thrive under this influence, but the Cardinal Signs Aries, Cancer, and Libra might struggle to keep up until Mercury enters Aquarius on January 2, 2021.
Now that Mercury is in Capricorn, Mercury is asking you to take life a little more seriously. We’ve learned so much while Mercury was in Sagittarius, and now you’re able to use that information and knowledge under this Mercury in Capricorn cycle.
The final Mercury Retrograde of 2021 begins on September 26 in the sign of Libra.
For those of you who are unfamiliar, Mercury entered its Pre-Shadow phase on September 8, when it slows down to come to a stop, and then it appears to move backward during its actual Retrograde phase starting on the 26th.
Libra is a Cardinal Air sign, and Cardinal signs initiate. They can be dynamic energy, so we should be working on starting something. But it’s best to wait and plan things out until Mercury is done with its Retrograde cycle in October, or you might get taking back once or even twice over the coals to make things work. Honestly, it can be a big mess of misunderstandings and mistakes. But if you feel like you have to start something during Mercury’s Retro phase, then go for it! But take your time and be cautious.
Each new season of the year begins with Cardinal sign energy. So the Sun entered into the sign of Libra on September 22 and ushered in the Fall or Autumn Season, which is called the Autumn Equinox. This year the Equinox occurred right before Mercury entered its Retrograde cycle on September 26. So will be under a whole lot of Libra air energy throughout October.
Mercury in Retrograde takes us back to rethink, relearn, and re-assess our situations. And this often brings up memories from the past so that we can be quite emotional and scattered. Any pain or hurt feelings that has been suppressed or ignored may come back up! It’s important to acknowledge these feelings and work through the pain. Don’t be ashamed of your past. You’ve come a long way on your journey in life and have grown so much. The past experiences you experienced helped shape and form who you are now. So, even if they were painful, they were important lessons and should be honored. You are a powerful and wise person, so be proud of yourself!
As we prepare to move into this next phase of this Mercury in Retrograde, we can reflect and think about what we have learned. Ask yourself some important questions. Like what can you do better? What kind of life would make you more happy and free? What can you do to create a better life for yourself?
Mercury Retrograde turns our focus more inward on “self,” but in Libra, we are made to look at the people we have to choose to be in relationships with and why. Libra is an intellectual sign, and with both the Sun and Mercury under its influence, we tend to be social butterflies, so we like to mix and mingle and come out into the open again. But that’s because Libra energy is all about initiating new relationships.
It’s a time to socialize before winter comes and we are forced back indoors. This Libra energy loves connecting us to those who also seek harmony. It’s a good time to compromise and heal our relationships or find a way to walk away and let them go!
It’s a time of awakening as we have entered a New Era! Ask yourself who you want by your side? What kind of friends and partners do you want to share your life with? Libra is the psychologist of the Zodiac, and that energy can be helpful when learning how to listen and be more objective. This Libra influence helps us to be natural mediators and peacekeepers. So we’re invited to look at all sides of any given situation and work at creating balance.
The final Mercury Retrograde of 2021 would like us to take a moment to observe how we handle people in our friendships and relationships. All this Libra energy is about being fair and kind, which can help us get along and cooperate better. But we may appear fake and superficial, especially with the Sun in Libra until the 22 and Mercury in Retrograde in Libra starting up on the 26.
Rubys Astro Readings Summer Solstice & Cancer (Zodiac) Season 🌟🌕
For All Zodiac Signs 🌟
The Sun shifts into the sign of Cancer, aka Cancer Season, and the Summer Solstice occurs in the North on June 20, 2021, when the days and nights are equal in length in light and dark.
When the Summer Solstice arrives, the Sun is in the protective and sensitive sign of Cancer; the energies tend to slow down a bit. Nevertheless, the Solstices are important because they open energetic doorways and usher in the magic of the Summer Season. These special days allow us to manifest what we want in our lives. The Sun will remain in Cancer until July 22, 2021.
While the Sun’s in Cancer over the next month, we are more focused on our family and home life. The day’s light begins to grow longer, which helps us make memories, which is right Cancers alley. This influence keeps us close to home as we have a stronger need for security with anything related to home or family.
Since we are technically still in Eclipse Season through the end of June, this Full Moon will land under its influence. Eclipses tend to bring out the truth and so do Full Moon’s, so what’s been hidden, repressed, kept secret, or unknown can be revealed. So if you have any skeletons in your closet, you may want to get things out in the open and deal with whatever reactions are coming your way.
It’s also a good time for teamwork, even with the Sun in more private Cancer. If our expectations are unreliable or unrealistic, then we probably will be let down. Try to work at keeping yourself grounded and your thoughts rooted strongly in reality. It’s for the best during this time, especially since we’re under the after shadow period of Mercury in Retrograde, as we wait for Mercury to get back up to its normal pace as it heads in the right direction again. But this alone causes confusion and can make things that much more challenging to navigate through.
The Cancer energies can make us feel sensitive and emotional. Cancer energy also teaches us to be more ambitious like the other Cardinal signs in the Zodiac (Aries, Capricorn, & Libra). Therefore, we’re usually more tenacious about reaching our business and professional goals. It’s important to take care of our social obligations, as activities outside our home will be more successful when we learn how to create a solid family and home base to fall back on. This influence helps us keep our schedules and routines, our home life in perspective.
With the Sun in Cancer, our thoughts naturally turn inward. It’s a great time to reach out to loved ones that feel safe and perhaps plan a very low-key get-together, or maybe finish up any home projects you’ve needed to get done. We are looking for safety and protection, so we want to surround ourselves with what’s secure and familiar. It’s a great time to celebrate the gift of seeing each other again face to face, now that Covid is down in the US. But still, remain safe and cautious.
The shadow side of the Sun in Cancer Season is that the Moon actually rules the sign of Cancer. So we can become a bit lunatic-like under its influence, especially if we’re worn down, emotionally hurt, lonely, or overwhelmed. Our moods can go up and down rather quickly, and we can become moodier with the waxing and waning of the Moon and all her phases for the next month. Monitor the Moon Phases and how they affect you by following my blogs on social media.
Our everyday lives are experienced on a much deeper emotional level with the Sun in Cancer (no matter your Sun sign). We tend to worry about our emotional security and are naturally more concerned with our personal lives. Even if we are interested in what’s happening globally, we want to protect and nurture those close to home more so than usual. So nurturing and taking care of our loved ones and our pet projects becomes more important.
Cancer is the Mother of the Zodiac and a water sign, so this energy affects us emotionally. Things like coziness, closeness, emotional bonding, and sexuality are experienced with more depth at this time. This energy can be quite evident in our everyday lives! We can be more kind, compassionate, caring, and empathic to other’s needs.
But the dark side of this Cancer energy means we can also be more reactive and impulsive when it comes to our emotional connections with people and situations.
Also, with the Sun in Cancer, the general atmosphere is more emotional, so any other Cosmic connections between the Sun and Moon can be extremely intense. But our initial reaction is to take the road less traveled. We will do whatever it takes not to be exposed because we tend to feel more vulnerable, including sidestepping direct confrontation, unless, of course, we are doing the confronting.
If we lose control, we can get a little crazy. Cancer energy, when angered, can be quite over the top and scary because it’s pure raw emotion. This charged-up emotional energy tends to trigger some of our most tender spots, so we can become illogical if we get frustrated or feel picked on. It’s just best not to let ourselves go there, and our emotions take the wheel for the next month. It can prove difficult to be objective or open-minded during this time, as we can be a bit pessimistic in our thinking, especially with Mercury in Retrograde. It’s helpful to keep your thoughts more positive, but you may have to work at it a little more than usual.
We are tapped into the realm of Cancer for the next month. We often feel more powerful when using our emotions with people or experiences, which gives these connections more depth and meaning. Usually, what we do during this time comes from the heart. It’s good practice for us to learn from anyway. Work on being more kind and compassionate while the Sun is in Cancer.
Cook some soul food and find something sweet to eat. Cuddle up with someone you care for, enjoy your Summer, and Happy Birthday, all my beautiful Crabs, Cancers! And happy Summer Solstice!
The New Moon in Capricorn peaks on January 13, 2021, at 12:01 AM EST.
The New Moon in Capricorn symbolizes new beginnings and a Cosmic new cycle. It comes together when the Sun and Moon align both in the sign of practical Capricorn. New Moon’s are generally more harmonious and put off a easy-going kind of energy. Depending upon what other planets the New Moon is connecting with, and the other Cosmic transits at play.
We can focus on some of the more positive traits of the sign of the mystical Sea-Goat, Capricorn, during this New Moon, as we all have this sign in our Astrology Birth Charts. We can feel more tenacious, resourceful, disciplined, ambitious, wise, prudent, and constant. We should figure out ways to tap into these special qualities within ourselves and in our lives.
It’s a time to focus on what’s practical, steady and look for attainable long-term goals. It’s good to develop our common sense and maturity levels by taking care of our responsibilities. Making preparations for the future through commitments and nurturing our hopes and dreams more realistically can help us succeed.
Under this potent Capricorn energy, we can finally create some order in our world, since it has been so chaotic lately. It’s a good time to make secure plans and to reap the rewards from the new beginnings that come our way. Dream up plans no matter how small or big they may be, so when the Full Moon comes together in a few weeks, we can tap back into this energy.
Capricorn energy teaches all of us the value of accountability and acceptance. We must understand that boundaries and rules are actually what gives us freedom from worry and chaos. If goals are put in place under this energy, we’ll have more time to focus on what really matters and our security.
This lunation is also aligning with powerful Pluto on the day of the New Moon, which intensifies its energies. This New Moon’s influence will be highly concentrated, and we can be much more focused, driven, ambitious, and obsessive.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 23 degrees and 13 mins of Capricorn, affecting those born with personal planets and points at 19 to 27 degrees of the Cardinal signs: Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn most significantly. But this affects all of us in one way or another.
It’s that time again! Under this New Moon energy, we can ask the Universe for our wishes, hopes, and dreams! Write down and then visualize them into existence and take the time to feel what it’s like actually to have them, be it through visualization or meditation. Just don’t get hung up on the details of how you’re reaching your goals. Only focus on having what you truly desire. Keeping it realistic, as we are under all this Capricorn energy, so it’s important to stay focused on what’s truly attainable.
Mercury, the messenger planet, moves into Aquarius on January 8th.
Mercury rules over the mind and helps us tap into higher dimensions, so things should get rather interesting with Mercury in progressive Aquarius through March 15th.
Heads-Up Mercury will enter its Retrograde cycle, starting January 30th, and runs through February 20th. We have already entered the Pre-shadow phase! When the planet Mercury starts to slow down to get ready to appear moving backward or turn Retrograde through the Cosmos. So the energies are going to be quite strange. I will have more on this later.
Mercury rules our thoughts, perceptions, and communications, and in the sign of Aquarius, we are inventive, innovative, progressive, objective, intuitive, detached, rational, and outspoken. Our opinions are strong and our independence very important. Our minds are downloading amazing inspirational visions, and we can have random A-ha moments and epiphanies. So our awareness is expanded, and our ideas are brilliant, ingenious, and at times revolutionary.
It’s a strong time for free-thinking as we are minds open, so we will see scientific breakthroughs during this cycle. This influence allows us to channel information from higher dimensions and energies, so take advantage of it through spiritual activities such as meditation and journal-writing.
Over the next nine weeks, we feel pulled to explore our ideas, beliefs, strategies, so we can uplift each other and innovate. As Mercury transits the sign of Aquarius, events and experiences start to represent the Mercury traits in Aquarius more so as we think more outside the box.
Between January 8 – 13, Mercury forms a tense Square to warrior Mars in Taurus and is conjunct Saturn and Jupiter in Aquarius as well. Mercury is also squaring off with the Great Awakener Uranus in Taurus! This event is being called the 3 Planet Conjunction on social media sites.
These powerful Cosmic energies create revelations that potentially have a strong impact and are definitely meaningful. This is a taste of what’s coming in January/February as other aspects continue to tap into these Cosmic connections. These influences create tensions and frictions between balancing our personal desires and values with what the world needs from us. We must think about the whole picture under these energies.
As Mercury amps up all the newly formed Aquarian energies, Venus also shifts into the sign of Capricorn. This energy re-activates the tensions from last year’s dynamic energies. It’s important to try to be more responsible by creating abundance and happiness even during these difficult times. We can make this happen by acknowledging our feelings about our difficulties and seeing our blessings, even the little ones.
The key to success and navigating through January and February of 2021 is to let go of the old ways while still valuing tradition and embracing the new ways!
Rubys Astro Readings Full Moon – New Year 2021 December 29th
For All Zodiac Signs
A Full Moon in the sign of Cancer peaks on Tuesday and can have us feeling all the feels! So if you’ve been feeling weepy and sad or just more emotional, you know why.
This particular Full Moon brings up issues in our relationships (of all kinds), especially in loving or intimate ones. It also puts out a powerful, strong emotional energy while it transits sensitive Cancer. So we might feel overly sensitive and can take things way too personal. People tend to feel more easily rejected or passed over when, in reality, we may just need some space. We can get clingy and hold on to those we care about too tight, but smothering someone won’t make them love you anymore; in fact, it will do just the opposite and make them go away!
With the Full Moon’s light illuminating our lives, issues are often exposed. This influence pushes us to deal with certain things in our personal lives that we might choose to ignore or neglect. With so much attention being put on our health, relationships, careers, and personal plans these days, this Full Moon encourages us to think about our personal emotional needs as well.
Full Moons are always about creating a balance between the Moon and Sun’s opposition. With the Moon in Cancer and the Sun in Capricorn, we need to focus on what these signs represent. The Full Moon in Cancer wants us to create a balance in our private life, and to learn there is a need for a home base, and to nurture ourselves. The Sun in Capricorn wants us to pay attention to our public life, career, reputation and take accountability. Being attached and in love are ruled by Cancer, while Capricorn rules our rewards and punishments. In some ways, this energy deals with the balance between unconditional love and conditional love. The Cancer Moon teaches us to value our home base and our roots, while Capricorn shows us how to consider our sense of duty and responsibility and pay more attention to our public lives.
This Wolf Moon harmonizes with the planet Uranus. So it is a gentle eye-opening energy; however, Venus and Neptune also square off on Wednesday, casting a fog and if confusion in our romantic or intimate relationships. You may feel strongly about making a soulmate-like connection with someone, but they may not be as receptive, or you can put them on a pedestal only to learn later they are not all you thought or expected them to be. Ensure you love others for who they are rather than hoping and wishing they will be what you want. Everyone grows and levels up at their own rate, our evolution is a personal journey, and no one should be forced to live by someone else’s expectations.
Don’t forget this is the perfect setup for Setting Intentions along with ringing in a New Year! So make sure to make out those Wishlists and focus on writing about what you don’t want in your life anymore, this can be about anything or anyone, it can be a thing or a behavior! It’s time to release what you need rid of and then make out your Wishes for the upcoming New Year! Powerful energies are at play!
Have a safe and blessed Full Moon, and a amazingly wonderful, prosperous, and healthy New Year! Sending Love & Light to you all. ~Ruby
Today is a Brand New Day and a New Era! Jupiter enters a new sign into Aquarius, which is a fast-paced, exciting kind of energy that can be unpredictable throughout 2021. It’s a time of innovation and progression, as Jupiter can spread around some abundance once again.
Over the last year, Jupiter, the planet of growth, philosophy, and expansion, has been transiting the sign of Capricorn, alongside planets Saturn and Pluto in a very well structured Stellium connection. This trio has been dismantling our lives over the last year, in many different ways, so it’s been a time of crisis that brought out our fears to work through. It has been difficult to see the light at the end of this dark and stormy tunnel. Jupiter’s influence has been stunted, so it’s not been handing out miracles or blessings as usual. Instead, it’s been in restrictive Capricorn challenging our faith and spirituality.
Jupiter is all about expanding our horizons, as it seeks deeper meanings and spiritual truths, especially involving education, freedom, community, and ideals. Aquarius energy matches up better with Jupiter’s purpose. This helps us feel more comfortable as this energy is easier to take in. So maybe we can learn to enjoy ourselves again, without being locked down in 2021!
Jupiter has a strong need to be free of all restrictions and have open spaces to explore. Aquarius seeks freedom and independence at all costs. We are bound to break out of the whole Covid19 mess in one way or another! Saturn also moved into Aquarius on December 17th, so there still will be challenges and lessons as always with Saturn’s influence. And even though there will be times when we feel ourfreedom and independence are being infringed upon, Jupiter now can find ways to lift our spirits and pull us through while in Aquarius and later in Pisces!
Jupiter will shift into the sign of Pisces in May of 2021 when it goes Retrograde. This preview can give us clues as to how the energies will play out in October, once Jupiter shifts into Pisces throughout 2022! At that time, there will be a major shift, and our focus will turn towardsspiritual activities and we tend to feel more compassionate, loving, and forgiving anytime Jupiter is in Pisces.
Jupiter shifting between Aquarius and Pisces throughout 2021 will expand how we teach, learn, and communicate. We already had a glimpse into how quickly Aquarius energy can advance our technology game in 2020 when Jupiter was Retrograde. And we had no choice but to learn due to Covid19. These influences can help us align with causes for our highest-good! So while in Aquarius, Jupiter helps us tap into humanitarian efforts. And it makes it easier to connect to our tribe and like-minded people. We also may feel a stronger desire to help others, especially in group settings. Following a path that honors our true authentic-self is supported, and we can let go of what is no longer working.
Jupiter in both Aquarius and Pisces throughout 2021 syncs well together, because both signs have a deeper understanding of healing the world. This can help us focus on the bigger picture and keep in mind what’s best for all of us as a whole. We can feel this influence surround us, as it gives us a reason or a better sense of purpose to help bond our communities together. And fight for causes that affect all of us.
Jupiter will retrograde back into Aquarius in June and then finally move fully into Pisces by the end of December 2021. By this time, we should have a good idea of what our goals, hopes, and dreams are for a better, more connected world. Being under this blanket of Air Sign energy, we need mental stimulation to thrive on. But we will likely be craving spiritual and emotional connections strongly all year long. This energy helps to restore balance in how we relate to people, particularly with friends and socially. Our communication skills are on point, and we can share our ideas and opinions much more clearly with confidence. Good communication skills lead to solving problems and healing.
Jupiter in Aquarius encourages us to be the activist, and gives us a reason to give in from time to time. Once Jupiter is in Pisces in May for a short visit will learn strongly that a battle can be won when we surrender.
Jupiter will bestow some amazing gifts in 2021, especially without feeling so blocked or restricted. It’s a time of forgiveness, as we honor our intuition and feel more compassionate towards others.
