This month’s Full Moon is a special Super Moon, which is when the Moon is closer to the Earth, so the Moon will look brighter, larger, and closer than an average Full Moon, and this will be the largest Super Full Moon of 2019.
This Full Moon is also accompanying a bright Star called Regulus in the constellation Leo the Lion. You can expect the sky to be pretty bright for a few nights.
This Full Moon has a few different ancient names actually. A very long time ago different cultures and people gave the Moons names by month and the changing seasons. During that time they followed the Lunar Month instead of the Solar Year.
February’s Full Moon is often called the Snow Moon and it has been known also as the Hunger Moon, the Storm Moon, and the Chaste Moon.
During this particular Full Moon, the cycle is a perfect time to work on manifestation. It also tends to give us the courage to speak up and say goodbye to negative situations and people who have been bringing us down. This Full Moon is a time to reevaluate and finally figure out what’s no longer working or is needed in our lives. This is normal for a Full Moon since it’s in the sign of Virgo, this energy just magnifies its effects.
The Full Snow Moon will occur on Tuesday, February 19th, 2019 is in the sign of Virgo. Although our adrenaline is pumping during this time, the energy will eventually fade, but you in the meanwhile, can get new projects off the ground and once the energy has dropped you can maintain them and not worry so much about initiating something.
The interesting part of this February Full Moon is how it is connecting with the other planets in the Cosmos. And the Full Moon in Virgo is making a rather nice “Trine” connection to Mars in Taurus and is close to electric thought provoking Uranus at the end of the sign of fiery Aries. This makes for a highly charged up Full Moon folks, and since the Full Moon already is an emotional time, we must be careful not to allow this energy to overwhelm us, as we can be more anxious and worried than usual during this time.
Mars recent move into the sign of Taurus is also connecting to this Full Moon. Looking at how the Zodiac Sign of Taurus acts when it’s angry or passionate about something (Mars Traits) helps us fully understand how it will affect us during this Full Moon. Occasionally, we could get angry and easily irritated. Some folks will reach a boiling point about a particular issue that may have been more easily handled before or at least tolerated. So our patience is wearing thin and some of us might need to take decisive action.
There’s a strong urge or desire to break free from anything that is restricting or limiting us, with Mars conjunct Uranus during this Full Moon. Even when it’s not an erratic Full Moon this connection is unpredictable and can be volatile, so watch out for others who get too pumped up and tend to lose their tempers!

With the outer-planet Uranus involved, there is a theme of destiny at work during this Full Moon, and it can put us under pressure to make some important changes.

Setting Intentions under the New Moon in Aquarius for February 2019!
The New Moon will be quite energizing in the sign of Aquarius on Feb. 4th. This lunation brings in new beginnings and hopefully a fresh start to our lives. This means we should be focusing on helping heal the world by embodying positive energies for our future, with our hopes and dreams. This can push us out side of our comfort zones. This is a time of being awakened and we will see exactly what that looks like through our visions, and when we socialize and brainstorm.
This is a time when feelings need to be expressed in our friendships and partnerships, as we develop a more open mind. This is also a great time to push forward with whatever we were releasing around the Total Lunar Eclipse on Jan 21st. And this influence can help us finish up the little things that need to be sorted out, and put out of the way to make room for such the big cosmic shifts that are changing things so rapidly now.
This is an opportune time to ask the Universe for New Beginnings. The intentions that are set during a New Moon Ritual will set you on the right path towards your desires. You can’t just THINK IT you have to make sure and FEEL IT, as if you are already really experiencing what your visualizing out in this physical world.
Allow the Universe to show you what paths to follow over the next month, and allow the New Moon show you the paths you are supposed to be going down so you can live a fuller more happy life, and obtain the goals and dreams you already have.

This just might be the luckiest New Moon phase of the year! The Sun, Moon, and Mercury are making lovely connections to lucky Jupiter! Wow, that’s a whole lot of energy. On the 10th, mental Mercury the planet that rules over how we think and communicate enters the etheric waters of Pisces. These two hook up in the 13th at what’s called the anaretic degree, where the planet of raw energy, Uranus is also at until February 6th, but when it finally moves into the sign of Taurus on March 6th and out of Aries.
This is going to cause some serious activity in February! This normally quiet month, won’t be so quiet due to these meetings. Mars is moving into the lovely sign of Taurus on February 14th (Valentine’s Day!) and Uranus isn’t too far behind as it moves into Taurus as well in March, which I am personally looking forward too. This is going to help calm some things down and we will slow way down, and be more patient and methodical in what we do. Plus a lot of that extra anxiety you might be feeling will simply go away. Mars change into Pisces starts to get us ready for the big shift, as the energies are rally going to make a huge change in February. We can begin to focus on new projects, opportunities, paths, and journeys that will keep us busy for quite some time.
Chiron might not be quite big enough to be considered a planet, but this little asteroid has a huge impact on our lives!On Feb. 18th, Chiron re-enters back into the sign of Aries, (this happened last April, but due to Chiron being Retrograde, it had shifted back into Pisces for awhile.) So from Feb 18th onward Chiron will be in Aries consistently.
This influence is about how healing begins on the inside, so within ourselves first. This helps us work on rebuilding our confidence, including around our body image, and the parts of our personalities that are more sensitive. Both personal and health issues that have been holding us back from moving forward or from thriving come back up to review and hopefully work through. This influence teaches us how to assert ourselves and focus on our own needs in a more healthy manner without feeling guilty! It’s time to be brave and courageous just like the sign of Aries leads by example, and meet our fears and insecurities head on and without so much dwelling or procrastination. Chiron will be in the sign of Aries all the way through 2026. The SUN shifts gears into more future thinking AQUARIUS.
Happy Birthday to all my Aquarius people and welcome to Aquarius Season.
This month-long cycle keeps us hungry for knowledge and experience. We now start looking for new ways to do things, as we search for what feels original, different, and unique! We become increasingly aware of what isn’t working anymore in our lives and strive to find new ways of looking at life as our minds open to new perspectives. With the Sun now in Aquarius, you will feel more even-tempered, artistic, sociable, peaceful in your general attitude to life, humanitarian, warm and loving.
You may just start to feel more like mingling again, and not as heavy or weighed down, as our overall attitude is more peaceful. But we can get rather nerve-wracked and anxious if we start focusing on what we are lacking in our lives. Turn any worrisome energy you might experience into something you can manifest, by setting goals and making plans. Tackle one thing at a time and work on yourself, it’s much easier to think about ourselves when the Sun is in Aquarius because we more detached emotionally, and can put our feelings to the side just long enough to take care of important business.
Astro Alert There’s a whole bunch of planets in the sign of more grounded Capricorn currently, which doesn’t mesh well with free-spirited AQUARIUS. Under the Sun in Aquarius, we can find all the structure and order to be too rigid, cold, and restrictive.

The year 2019 started off with a New Moon, Solar Eclipse on Jan. 5, so we are now more than ready for the second part of the Eclipse phase to come together. Look for special signs and symbols from the Cosmos as to what your Eclipse messages may be. Something in your life is probably ending so you can create something new to come into your life. Eclipses bring with them very powerful cosmic energy to planet Earth and often trigger unexpected changes and surprises, so they bring important messages with them.
The Full Moon will be very close to the Earth this month, so this means the energies will feel quite intense compared to a normal Full Moon. This Super Full Moon as it’s called is also an Eclipse so you can feel this sucker in a big and very powerful way.
This Lunar Eclipse is at 0 degrees in the sign of Leo, and is the first Full Moon of the New Year! There will be two more Eclipses in July, back to back, so something profound is developing.
The Moon’s Karmic Nodes are points that are also linked to this Eclipse and are already known for bringing in more Karmic situations, so the truth is coming out, secrets are being revealed as information comes to light. So it’s a time of decisions if you are ready or not!

Venus enters Sagittarius on Jan 6th, 2019 and will remain there through Feb 3rd, 2019.
Venus rules over what we value, how we love, and how we deal with our money. Under joyous Sagittarius, we feel (no matter what your Zodiac sign,) like enjoying ourselves, as we have much more courage to play and explore!
Under this transit people tend to be more romantic, adventurous, but also straightforward and blunt when it comes to love and financial situations. We are now leaving behind all the complex soul-searching feelings when Venus was in the sign of Scorpio, and can embrace being more direct about how we feel, which often brings clarity.
We also find ourselves feeling much more appreciative of the opportunities that show up, no matter how big or small. Being under this over the top energy we tend to share much more of ourselves with others, and our mentality leans more towards sharing and growing as a person.
Venus can be quite lucky in Sagittarius, as this influence allows doors to open in the areas of love, relationships, and around finances. This is not the best time to actually be careful with your money or finances necessarily, (even under so many planets in more careful and structured Capricorn, who wants us to hang on to what we have and to stick to what is already working.) But it’s also a very strong time for enthusiasm and spirit, so some spontaneity can bring in some pretty amazing things, follow your instincts.
Hearts open wider and possibilities for luck with money is strong. However, we can see what comes in, go out just as quickly if we aren’t careful with how much we decide to spend or how much love we give out without getting anything back. It’s an important time to show gratitude for what you already do have. Take nothing you get for granted, as the small things seem to just show up and can leave just as fast, enjoy your life.
Over the next month, enjoy the love and gifts from the Cosmos without any expectations of what you can get back, that’s a big no-no under Sagittarius energy. At least 2018 ended on more of a quiet note astrologically. But January is going to be complex as it starts off with a Solar and Lunar Eclipse. And passionate Mars just entered in its own sign of fiery Aries on the last day of 2018, where it feels at home, so its power is boosted by this influence. This can have us feeling more spontaneous, forward-thinking, and even courageous during its run! There’s a competitive spirit in the air and our goal is to win! So take it easy and make sure to slow yourself down from time to time, and check yourself about what you’re actually doing. Avoid being overly impulsive or you can make mistakes or get involved in accidents during Mars transit in the sign of Aries.
Mental Mercury enters more stable Capricorn on the 5th of January, and this slows down the way we process information, as our thinking becomesmore methodical. We tend to be more focused, sober, and practical during this time. One trait we certainly can use is how much easier it is to concentrate ontasks at hand under this influence. Conversations are more realistic and focused, especially on business and more practical matters. People seem to have more sound reasoning skills, but we must be careful about being narrow-minded, cold, cut-off, and not having a sense of humor at least every once in awhile.
The Solar Eclipse/New Moon in Capricorn also occurs on January 5th, and it is between the planets Saturn and Pluto. This New Moon Eclipse is unusual since the Sun and Moon are surrounded by Mercury, Saturn, and Pluto. This Capricorn Stellium as its called has more power with the Moon’s South Node, which means old ways, and patterns of behavior may come up. This is a complicated New Moon, with all these different influences at play. Even though conservative Capricorn might want things to be more constructive. But at least we value the importance that things take time under these influences, which helps us to be more patient in most any situation. Saturn rules Capricorn and is often thought to rule over time!
The planet Uranus the “divine messenger” of the Cosmos turns direct on January 6th after five months of being in Retrograde, and what a time this was. This planet affects us so strongly, so it’s really worth learning where it is placed in your own personal Birth Chart and where it is cruising through your Chart now! As Uranus gains speed in the coming weeks ahead, our urge to express ourselves in a more creative and unique way becomes more evident. It’s a time to take some chances or risks and for rebellion. We are going to be able once again to listen to your own instincts, but we also can stir up some serious changes that re-awaken us on a deep level. We now will begin to see more clearly, so we can make necessary changes for ourselves and the world, and we won’t be just sitting around waiting to play victim while changes are suddenly thrust upon us, so we feel like we have some more control. The only issues are Uranus remains in hot-headed Aries through March time and that will continue to spark us up and cause lots of interesting changes and crazy weather as well.
Venus the planet of Love and often associated with money will move into the sign of enthusiastic Sagittarius on January 7th. This is a strong romantic energy that shifts us from feeling intense to cheerful and lively! This Sagittarius influence, of course, has its own intense feeling moments, considering it is a Fire Sign. But this energy is just way less focused then what we’ve been dealing with during Venus in Scorpios time, which had us way more focused on intimacy with just one person. Hopefully, you have learned more about the folks in your life and discovered who you can trust, now you will be ready for this new Sagittarius love fest energy to come in and meet new people and seek out more fun experiences. Sagittarian love or energy for all of us is way more open and free, it’s a universal kind of love, it’s a free for all! On Jan. 13th, excitable Jupiter forms a tense connection to foggy Neptune, this is the first in a set of three meetings, with the other two happening in June and September, and this can cause struggles with our expectations, faith, and dreams. We may be deceived more easily under this influence, whether by others or just our own unrealistic or high expectations. We may have to deal with certain consequences that come from being disorganized, extravagant, neglectful, or from some sort of exaggeration. This tends to make folks feel more restless, and routines are not as satisfying. This is a time when we can take a break or maybe detoured from our more practical paths into something much different, so pay attention folks! We are more easily disillusioned by something or even someone, so we need to be more careful about ignoring things altogether, only to later start justifying some sort of new opinion, belief, or philosophy for our behavior just to avoid certain situations or responsibilities. There also will be a lot more wandering, as it can be hard to feel grounded while this is in play for the week of Jan 13th and then again later on in June and September. We also might have issues with setting healthy boundaries for ourselves. There will be a need to ground ourselves back to Earth! If we can stick to certain routines, and remain more disciplined than those set rhythms can help counteract this tendency. Spiritual inspiration is also strong because we can let go of old false beliefs, expectations, and behaviors.
Also around this time, Jupiter is forming a challenging connection to rebellious Uranus, which just reinforces our feelings of restlessness if our dreams are no longer fulfilling us or are not a source of inspiration anymore. This is a time where we go out on little adventures that are totally impractical or unusual tangents, only to realize we can’t finish what we want, there’s not a lot of staying power under this influence.
The Full Moon occurs on Monday, January 21, 2019, in the very first degree of Leo and it’s also a Total Lunar Eclipse. This is about achieving something! There will be a stronger sense of urgency, that’s exciting and it can make us feel somewhat anxious. This can cause us to feel a crisis around lack, it’s a time when we suddenly might realize there is a greater need or want when matters seem to come to light that has been beneath the surface. The Full Moon is a time of truth and this means we have a stronger desire to gain knowledge, but couple that with the Eclipses intensity and this makes for a highly charged up energy. With the Full Moon in the sign of dramatic Leo, we get an opportunity to tap into our pride, as our instincts around survival are stronger than usual, so we tend to be more observant of others. We value others opinions and know our reputation is important during this time. There is also a challenging connection between game-charger Uranus, the planet of uncertainty, which can cause rebellious behavior but this energy also brings about change and opportunity.
The Full Moon each month is always a good time to bring back some sort of balance in your life, as it magnifies already existing problems to sort through, which is why folks feel so highly emotional during a Full Moon! During January’s Full Moon the Sun in Aquarius will just have started and will meet up with the Moon in Leo, so we are working on striking a balance between focusing on our personal pleasures and our need to help our community. This is a time of enlightenment that brings an opportunity to explore our emotional needs, which can lead to positive actions and decisions. Full Moons also raise our awareness around the little flaws in our romantic relationships, and often in our relationships with our children. So there can be a sense of urgency or sudden need or desire to express ourselves, it’s a strong compulsion to come to a resolution of a problem. This is a time when there are often final word or decisions made.
With mental Mercury entering the sign of Aquarius on January 24th certain situations become more impersonal, as our minds are more capable and help us move through our earthly routines and patterns. This will also help us to better process our feelings that are a direct result from problems that have occurred during the past month or so, especially around relationships and the Eclipse energies. This energy helps us to mentally detach long enough to take care of business and rectify any damaging problems we have been involved in if we can get our head out of the clouds long enough to focus. Remember under this energy reality is sometimes blurred a bit if we don’t keep our feet on the ground. But we also can experience waves of Ah-Ha moments and epiphanies that can be full of some amazing stuff! So pay attention, and write your thoughts and feelings down often during this time.
On the 31st of January, another outer planet is making a strong meeting that influences us through much of 2019! Saturn makes a rather harmonious connection to dreamy Neptune, in what’s called a sextile. With Saturn’s discipline bringing structure or meaning to our dreams and ideals this can be the stuff dreams are made of! Neptune brings in the energy of acceptance and devotion which can help bring new meaning to our work, traditions, and customs. This makes it easier to enjoy a feeling a sense of purpose in our lives, we feel more spiritual plugged in and like our material world is harmonizing together with our spirit. Our attitude and circumstances just happen to help us follow through on our dreams and turn our visions and ideals into reality! This influence helps us to combine our imaginations and effort which can bring about success. There can be a stronger sense that our dreams can be a reality, and therefore, we can build a stronger faith and acceptance into our world.
