Venus Enters Leo – Love is Grand!

Venus Enters Leo

Venus, the Goddess of Love, rules over Relationships, Love, and often Money enters the fixed “Fire” Sign of Leo starting on June 26 and runs through July 21.

Our love lives can be magnificent and grand during this cycle. There’s a stronger need for affection and physical connections. Holding down our inner fire or flames of love may be more difficult. It’s time to shine and show your inner light to those you care for and love.

Venus in Leo boosts our love life, so we desire more excitement and playfulness in our relationships. Leo is the sign of self-expression, which is more evident in our love life and financial affairs. We want to be seen and heard as we’re more willing to express our feelings outwardly. We enjoy sharing our opinions more than usual.

But trust and loyalty are more of an important factor with Leo energy involved. So if we care for someone we don’t trust, we might decide to shut down altogether under this cycle. Even though we can express our feelings more freely, we should pay attention to how we are treated by lovers, friends, and family members. Their actions can reveal a whole lot about how they feel.

We may feel more sensual and desirable, taking pride in our love lives now, and we’re usually more helpful and generous with our hearts, resources, time, and money. While Venus is in Leo, we’re generally more warm-hearted, extravagant, and flirty. Love and relationships can be a game that never ends. We tend to think with our “Hearts,” so this energy keeps us in a constant romantic state in our relationships with people period.

However, we may act more demanding or aggressive with our lovers, wanting more affection, attention, devotion, and honesty. We may try to fulfill emotional needs with pleasurable affairs. A stronger desire for instant gratification can lead to intimate affairs with the wrong people. There can be unexpected or unwanted consequences.

As passionate Mars connects to Venus during this cycle, keep yourself in check, they’re forming the “Cosmic Marriage” of the year. Together Venus and Mars, aka the “Cosmic Lovers,” ignite our passions and sex drive, enhancing the Venus in Leo energy.

With Venus in Leo, our love language is expressed more so through our actions and the affections we share. We crave physical touch and strongly desire sexual activity. It can be more difficult to separate lust and sex from love at this time. However, this energy is quite romantic, so it’s a great time to spice up your life with some new romantic adventures with lovers or partners.

Neptune, the Spiritual Guru of the Cosmos, recently turned Retrograde. This influence can amplify our emotions and cause self-doubt, which throws off our instincts and intuition. Neptune Retrograde casts a fog over our better judgment, which is unfortunate since Leo energy is very strong when it comes to following one’s instincts, but our senses and feelings may not be as accurate. Remember to keep this in mind before making any crazy moves like redoing your home or buying something because you think you’re getting a deal. Or when you decide to declare your undying love to someone new or old. Think about things first.

Luckily, Venus in regal Leo builds confidence to feel pride in our relationships and financial affairs. But we can be rather impulsive while looking for love and go after the wrong sort of person. Take your time and think before doing anything foolish with love or money, especially with foggy Neptune Retrograde. We can spend some cash, as retail therapy is quite appealing but that can backfire. We’re more attracted to flashy, expensive items. So be careful about overspending and don’t believe everything you are told or read.

Our desire for attention is strong during the Venus in Leo cycle, especially from our partners and lovers. We rather enjoy being admired, acknowledged, and validated during this cycle. Our ego is especially strong, so things like love, money, and pastimes needs to be more satisfying and pleasing. Desiring what’s grand and big can lead to more spontaneous and bold behavior. We want the best and we can brag and boost about who we are and what we are doing. We tend to have a flair for the dramatic during this cycle, simply for the attention, it brings.

Focus on self-care during this cycle since we are craving to be loved and admired. Take some time to appreciate who you are, start up some self-care rituals, and put them into your daily routines. It’s a great cycle to treat yourself and do some sort of pampering. After all, we can feel like royalty. Practice daily rituals or activities like meditation (from the heart), positive affirmations, or journal-writing. Make little love notes or letters to yourself.

Try to work on building up your self-confidence and knowing you are loved and are worthy of love. Don’t mistakenly rely on someone else to fill the void within yourself just to be validated. Rather fill yourself up with love and compliments, and support your friends and tribe. Treat yourself to some small gifts. It’s ok! You’re worth it. Just don’t break the bank! While Venus is in Leo, we enjoy showing off, so we shower the people we love with attention and gifts. But it’s emotionally satisfying to spoil our lovers and partners.

This energy can be quite powerful, so Venus transiting Leo encourages us to love ourselves and others more deeply, with passion and affection. Because we want the best for ourselves, we may not stop until we get it. So it’s a good time to set boundaries, but our expectations can be set to a higher standard when it comes to love and relationships, as Leo’s energy won’t settle for anything less than someone fabulous and heartfelt.

Enjoy this time.
