Mercury, the messenger planet, moves into Aquarius on January 8th.
Mercury rules over the mind and helps us tap into higher dimensions, so things should get rather interesting with Mercury in progressive Aquarius through March 15th.
Heads-Up
Mercury will enter its Retrograde cycle, starting January 30th, and runs through February 20th. We have already entered the Pre-shadow phase! When the planet Mercury starts to slow down to get ready to appear moving backward or turn Retrograde through the Cosmos. So the energies are going to be quite strange. I will have more on this later.
Mercury rules our thoughts, perceptions, and communications, and in the sign of Aquarius, we are inventive, innovative, progressive, objective, intuitive, detached, rational, and outspoken. Our opinions are strong and our independence very important. Our minds are downloading amazing inspirational visions, and we can have random A-ha moments and epiphanies. So our awareness is expanded, and our ideas are brilliant, ingenious, and at times revolutionary.
It’s a strong time for free-thinking as we are minds open, so we will see scientific breakthroughs during this cycle. This influence allows us to channel information from higher dimensions and energies, so take advantage of it through spiritual activities such as meditation and journal-writing.
Over the next nine weeks, we feel pulled to explore our ideas, beliefs, strategies, so we can uplift each other and innovate. As Mercury transits the sign of Aquarius, events and experiences start to represent the Mercury traits in Aquarius more so as we think more outside the box.
Between January 8 – 13, Mercury forms a tense Square to warrior Mars in Taurus and is conjunct Saturn and Jupiter in Aquarius as well. Mercury is also squaring off with the Great Awakener Uranus in Taurus! This event is being called the 3 Planet Conjunction on social media sites.
These powerful Cosmic energies create revelations that potentially have a strong impact and are definitely meaningful. This is a taste of what’s coming in January/February as other aspects continue to tap into these Cosmic connections. These influences create tensions and frictions between balancing our personal desires and values with what the world needs from us. We must think about the whole picture under these energies.
As Mercury amps up all the newly formed Aquarian energies, Venus also shifts into the sign of Capricorn. This energy re-activates the tensions from last year’s dynamic energies. It’s important to try to be more responsible by creating abundance and happiness even during these difficult times. We can make this happen by acknowledging our feelings about our difficulties and seeing our blessings, even the little ones.
The key to success and navigating through January and February of 2021 is to let go of the old ways while still valuing tradition and embracing the new ways!
