The Goddess of Love herself, Venus is shifting into the first sign of the Zodiac, Aries on Feb 7th.
The planet Venus rules over our love lives, but it also has a strong effect on how we love others period. This can be with family, friends, co-workers, and members of our community even. It also happens to have a lot of influence over our finances and anything involving our money.
It’s important to be thicker skinned under Venus in Aries, especially in our relationships and how we relate to others. There is no sugar-coating things under Venus in the fiery sign of Aries, and our words can sting. But Aries energy isn’t necessarily about being petty or mean. It’s just time to lay your cards on the table and say things like they are, or at least the way you see them. Our desires are strong, and we can express ourselves in such a way that it’s more spontaneous, enthusiastic, and direct! And if someone pisses you off, you can almost bet you’re going to make sure they hear about it! We don’t hold much back in our relationships during this time.
Venus in the sign of fast-moving Aries, can bring fresh new energy into our love life and around our finances. This cycle brings love in rather quickly, so relationships both new and old are more direct and spontaneous. This can have us acting more impulsive, passionate, extroverted, and bold in our romantic adventures. There’s a stronger desire for constant change in both our romantic and social lives. But we can make friends more easily and are quite fond of receiving and giving love and admiration. We can feel more motivated, and enthusiastic, and be a source of inspiration to lovers, partners, good friends, or co-workers.
While we are under the Venus in Aries influence we don’t worry about the past or bother looking back, instead, it’s a time to move forward. “Carpe Diem” is our motto for now, which means “Seize the day” while Venus is in Aries. As every day is new and full of opportunities, so every moment matters.
You can be very easily influenced by the opposite sex now, (or by someone more masculine than yourself) as it’s a brand new day, this is an opportunity to initiate something. The gushy, mushy kind of stuff is not so appealing during this time, and we don’t want to deal with apologies, as we simply enjoy the chase and conquest! But Aries energy is also about emotional security, so we are looking for longstanding relationships and love that’s going to last, but it has to feel new and fresh, or we can get bored quite easily and end up moving on to someone else.
Under this fiery influence, we are more interested in the hunt intuitively and naturally, especially when it comes to matters of the heart. Since we can feel more bold, courageous, aggressive, impulsive, and impatient in love, so our love life heats up and they can get rather interesting.
Some of you might feel bold when communicating, but more reserved about your deeper feelings or emotions. If you’re feeling badly or insecure you can get aggressive and downright mean, especially if someone isn’t expressing love back, or doesn’t recognize that you’re trying. This influence effects our way of thinking as well, and we can be much more strategic, so we can be quite cunning when it comes to matters of the heart or in financial dealings.
If you are already in a long-term relationship you can use this fiery energy to light some passions back into your relationship. If you’re single get ready, lots of people will hookup or have sexual relations, (after all Aries energy is ruled by Mars, the planet that rules over sexual activity) but the fires don’t burn forever and your new hookup can sizzle out fast!
It’s a time to make sure things keep moving forward, especially if you want some sort of new commitment in love or money. But also pay attention to what will happen in the long-term in new relationships, unless you are just looking for a hookup! Then have fun!
It’s a good time to enjoy the finer things in life, you can show off a little now, so indulge in luxury and extravagance, we can have an easy come, easy go kind of attitude when it comes to money and all things financial.
Under the Aries energy, we are much more direct and blunt, but this involves Venus, so it’s going to come out more so in our relationships, but remember words can sting. Desires are strong and expressed more spontaneously and enthusiastically. Try to avoid throwing temper tantrums with your nearest and dearest, and watch yourself for being too harsh or coarse with those you love.
