December Astro Forecast
December 2 – Jupiter enters Capricorn
Jupiter joins up with the heavy-hitting planets Saturn and Pluto in ambitious Capricorn. It’s time to pay attention to the areas of your life that you want to build a solid foundation on, so focus on what you want to achieve in the coming New Year. You can meet people who help you get ahead in one way or another. Just remember any hard work you do now will be rewarded. Even though we can receive some much needed help, with so many planets in the sign of Capricorn, there can be challenges as well. Especially, when those who are of authority or who are in charge band together with their combined powers. To rise above these tests and challenges, and meet your goals, you will need to stay focused and concentrate. Keep things practical, and be savvy and strategic, this is not the time to be impulsive or to just wing it!
December 3 – Venus sextiles Mars
Venus the Goddess of Love and relationships is also in the sign of, you guessed it, Capricorn. Her Cosmic Lover Mars, the planet of aggression, action, and desire is actually in Scorpio right now, and together these two make a powerful couple. This can be a beneficial influence that helps you meet new people romantically. It can help those of you who are already involved in a committed relationship to strengthen the bonds you have already built.
December 8 – Sun squares Neptune
Neptune is the planet that rules over your dreams, fantasies, imagination, and spirituality. With the Sun shining its energy on Neptune, things can feel rather confusing and some of you may feel down and out. But this can be an amazing time to escape your busy life, and get rid of all the distractions, and unplug, or just relax. Using your mind and logic won’t help you find the answers, instead, try a little creativity and some daydreaming perhaps. Don’t worry, because even if you don’t know where you are going or exactly what you want. All of us need some downtime to replenish our energies, so find a place of peace and relaxation, and take a moment to breathe and simply be. The rest of the world will just have to wait.
December 9 – Mercury enters Sagittarius
Mercury is the planet of communication and expression. When it shifts into the more optimistic sign of Sagittarius are heads fill up with new ideas and we can enjoy fun conversations that may just help us learn better about how to reach our goals. Keep things practical and stay grounded, but express your enthusiasm and you might just succeed. Sagittarius energy demands truth, so all of us will appreciate a good honest discussion at this time. Just be careful not to overdo it, and share your whole life story, as giving to much of your business away can cause problems. This energy can have us telling way to much truth, and then we have to apologize for it later. If you can remember to use tact you won’t feel regretful later.
December 11 – Venus conjuncts Saturn
Saturn is about taking responsibility as it holds us accountable. So when Venus connects to stern Saturn there can be challenges in your relationships. But you also can gain clarity about the people in your life, this can help you understand better what you want and don’t want.
December 12 – Full Moon in Gemini
This Full Moon is handing out information and brings news that can make you doubt your current plans. This week is going to be moving very fast, and you might feel stressed out and overwhelmed! But it can also help open your eyes and see the truth about situations that you need to be done with. This is anxious energy, even more so than normal, so some folks can be extremely emotional and high strung, so whatever they are communicating can be illogical. Make no important decisions during this time! Take things nice and slow, and review all the info you have gathered. Once this Full Moon has passed you will be able to see the whole picture, and then you will know what you should do next.
December 13 – Venus conjuncts Pluto
Venus rules over our relationships and Pluto is about the power and control we have. Conjunctions are often about new beginnings. But this influence can be about our projects, goals, or other people. You can feel powerful during this time, and your energy can run high. If you choose to let go of what’s broken or not working in your relationships, then it might just transform and come back together into something new and stronger. But this is strong powerful energy to grab ahold of, if you embrace it you may just be able to achieve your goals. Keep your heart open to the ones who love you back.
December 15 – Jupiter trines Uranus
Jupiter is about expanding one’s horizons, it wants to help you improve your life. When it shifts into the sign of Capricorn our goals become our main focus. This energy can help you rebuild something in your life, into something different or even new. The world opens up to new possibilities, so it’s a good year to make long-term improvements. Keep your options open and be ready as opportunities show up. Other people are a valuable resource during this time, as they can help you at least begin your new journey.
December 19 – Mars sextiles Saturn
The action planet Mars is in powerful Scorpio. As it makes this connection to stabilizing Saturn in ambitious Capricorn, all our hard work can finally pay off, as help comes from those of authority or positions of power. This helps us put the finishing touches on any projects or plans we have been working on for a while now. If you share your ideas and visions for your future plans and goals, you will probably get the help you need to realize them.
December 20 – Venus enters Aquarius
Venus the planet of Love herself, enters the more emotionally detached sign of Aquarius. This is a very interesting influence because you can actually meet someone during this time to love that shares the same values and moral codes as you, but you also need your partner to be your friend under this energy. Since we tend to be more social during this time, it is easier to meet people at events (hello Holidays) as long as you participate in activities you enjoy. If you are already committed, this is a good time to work on strengthening the friendship you have with your nearest and dearest.
December 21 – Sun enters Capricorn
The Sun enters the more practical sign of Capricorn and this marks the beginning of the Winter Solstice. This is a magical time, (all the Solstices are) but it’s best to take this time to get quiet and reflect on this past year, think about what you are grateful for. Now is the time of the year when we tend to hide out, the winter months are about staying out of the cold. But with so many other planets in the sign of Capricorn, we should be planning and preparing for 2020. Think about your dreams, goals, and plans and what you would like to accomplish. This is a fiercely ambitious influence that can help you get ahead if you work with its energies in the right way
December 24 – Sun trines Uranus
When the radiant Sun shines on the divine messenger, Uranus, we can have way more energy and courage to do what we want, how we want! All you are required to do is go after your goals and take advantage of this influence. Look to your soul tribes and those who are of support. Make changes, and be open to adjustments and change up your plans if need be, make them stronger and better, as there are people around during this time that are willing to assist you.
December 26 – Solar Eclipse in Capricorn
A powerful Solar Eclipse occurs on this day in the sign of ambitious Capricorn, as this influence can help you reconnect to the world around you. For most of us, the outer world is about our careers, for others, it is school or volunteer work that takes up most of your interactions. The Solar Eclipse occurs at the same time as the New Moon, this means it is an especially strong time for drama but it’s also a new beginning. This New Moon energy is all about achieving your goals, by taking step by step plans to reach them. It’s a good time to decide what you are going to take responsibility for and what you don’t. This is a time to take actions that help you make your life more secure, by accomplishing what is practical. Over the next few weeks while the light of the Moon slowly increases from this New Moon to a Full Moon, stay focused and put your time and energy into something you really want to see grow and build up to be strong, or make it about something that is really important to you. Staying consistent and focusing on the same goals over this two week period can bring amazing results, or at the very least put you on the right path towards achieving your goals. Everyone’s journey is different.
December 27 – Sun conjuncts Jupiter
Every year, the Sun shines its light on optimistic Jupiter. This year, of course, it’s meeting up with the sign of practicality and security, Capricorn. Jupiter is all about its generosity as it expands the energy of the sign it is in, and it brings along helpers, guides, angels and whatever you can think of to help us build upon these Capricorn energies. This is a great time to work once again on your plans for your future, to reach goals that have to do with the long-term. This energy wants you to get real and stick to a plan that is in the here and now.
December 28: Mercury enters Capricorn
When the planet of Communication enters the sign of practical Capricorn, we can learn what is working and what isn’t. Stay focused on your goals, but also get out and do some networking, especially with folks who have already done or accomplished what you hope to achieve. You can gain some valuable advice and they can lead you to meet the right people who can help you. All your hard work will be rewarded soon, so stay focused, and don’t give up.
