Venus Enters Libra – In Love With Love

On September 14th, the planet Venus shifts into its home sign of Libra.

Venus rules over love, beauty, money, and relationships. The Zodiac sign of Libra rules our love lives, relationships, and is often about balancing our relationships with a significant other and taking care of ourselves in harmony.

We have had more than our fair share of challenges this year, so this is a wonderful opportunity to refocus on what really matters to us the most, as we can manifest what we desire from the heart! This can include those folks who have been there for us the most. If you have had some sort of rift or conflict with someone lately, this is an ideal time to fix things. So put your differences aside and find some common ground to meet in the middle.

Even if you are one of those kind of people who enjoys being alone, this lovely energy can lead you out and around others, so you might meet up with a family member or a friend during this time, and some of us will be way more social than usual.

Since the Goddess herself, Venus and the sign of Libra both are about what is beautiful, it’s a good time to pamper yourself and do something that makes you feel good about yourself once again. During Venus’s run through Virgo over the last month we had to focus on helping others and our community. Now the focus is turned toward our partners, lovers, and even close family and friends. Perhaps just go get a mani-pedi or take a spa day, or take the whole day off from your responsibilities if at all possible and relax. Do something for yourself you deserve it!

We should also be careful about putting on appearances just to keep the peace. This is an extremely accommodating energy, so we might hold back on saying how we are really feeling, or from asserting ourselves, especially if we feel it’s going to cause any inconvenience for someone we care for. We can be false or superficial to keep out of conflict. Some of us will go to great lengths just to avoid any kind of disagreements.

Take this time to tap into your creative side and do something well, creative! Perhaps spend some time in a place that is beautiful to you, or go on a mini vacay with your lover. It’s can be a beautiful time for couples, as long as you don’t ignore problems that should be dealt with, or even worse try to runaway from them.

During this cycle we can have the urge to merge with people we know and strangers both. So if you’re single or whatever, don’t fool yourself and think you’re in love just because you had that one special date or night out. Give it some time to really get to know them first, as we all can be rather charming during this time.
