Venus in Virgo – “Actions Mean More Than Words”

Venus the planet that rules over love, relationships, and often money moves into more practical Virgo from August 21 thru September 14.

Love is expressed in a much more down to earth manner when Venus is in the sign of Virgo. So we tend to show our feelings in more practical ways, like by doing some sort of work, running errands, or just being there for our loved ones. Our love and affections are expressed through what we do for the ones we love, and the actions that are taken. This is what counts during this cycle. Since we more reserved, this is not a very good energy for communicating our deeper feelings. And here soon with so many planets in “Virgo”, it’s going to be really difficult to express our true feelings. This lasts through the end of September!

Love is more logical and comfortable during this time, so our relationships must have some sort of purpose with Venus in Virgo, as we are looking for long-term stability and commitment.

The sign of Virgo is an Earth Sign, so we can feel reserved but also sensual in our relationships. This energy doesn’t just affect our romantic lives, it also usually influences our spending and the way we handle our finances. During this time what we choose to spend our money on must have some sort of emotional attachment. But even if it’s money being spent on something more pleasurable, it must be practical in our own mind.

The bottom line is during this cycle whatever we enjoy must be practical and make sense. Even our relationships must feel like they have a sense of purpose, or there can be issues.

We might end up feeling a bit guilty if we are too self-indulgent during this time. Which means we stay feeling stuck and then end up doing nothing at all. And even though we start thinking more so about organizing our lives under all this Virgo energy, we can be a bit lazy, so we will need to find ways to stay motivated. Especially, now that Mars the sign that rules over our stamima and physical actions, is also in Virgo. And here shortly, the Sun and mental Mercury will also shift into…yep you guessed it, Virgo as well.

The sign of Virgo is known as the sign of service, so helping others and especially lovers (since we are talking about Venus, the Goddess of Love) during this time can help fulfill a deep emotional need.

The shadowy side to this cycle is we can be quite critical, nit-picky, and anxious with lovers and those that near and dear to our hearts, but especially with ourselves. Remember, no one is perfect and we all make mistakes, so try not to judge to harshly! And learn how to forgive. You’ll be a much more healthy and happy person.
