The build-up of energy to the Full Moon in Scorpio on May 18th has begun! This Full Moon marks the beginning of a new energy cycle for all of us! On Saturday afternoon, the Sun in Taurus opposes the Moon in Scorpio and a Full Moon occurs.
The closer to Earth the Moon gets as it builds to go Full the stronger its energies are felt, as this energy intensifies we feel it on a very deep emotional level. You’re probably already feeling it! You might feel nervous, tired, or just anxious, and lots of folks don’t sleep very well when the Full Moon starts to form, which can last through the weekend. Our dreams are usually very strong and vivid during a Full Moon and wThis is an emotional time and our energy is focused more so on romance and our relationships.
Our deepest emotions are what manifests our life! If we understand it or not, due to most of it being unconscious as the Moon rules over this part of us on a deep soul level. If we are aware of it or not! Therefore, it’s important to keep our energies on a higher vibrational level this weekend. If we can sustain a somewhat higher vibration within ourselves then our life will reflect just that and we can manifest our goals, wishes, and desires much easier.
Each month the Full Moon helps us discover certain truths, so as we gain this clarity we can work on specific wishes or desires. The Moon also help us release and let go of situations, people, or energies to make room for whatever new energies we are trying to manifest. Full Moons create endings in this way, and then two weeks later during the next New or Dark Moon we can start planting seeds for something else new to begin, so we are always moving energies in and out of our lives.
During this Full Moon, the Universe is inviting you to work on something specifically! And that all depends on just where the Full Moon is going through your own personal Astrology “Birth Chart”. This tells you what part of your life you should be focusing on, but you probably are already being made of aware of what it is about by now.
Under this particular Full Moon, we have to deal with the Taurus-Scorpio energies and create some sort of balance between what’s considered to be “yours” and “ours!” The energy is focused on how we feel versus our own personal transformation. While the Taurus energy wants us to deal with matters around personal values, material things, possessions, and security. The Scorpio energy rules things like shared possessions, change, discovery, and transformation. The Sun in Taurus encourages us to feel happier by keeping things simple, while the Scorpio Moon is more complex feeling and wants us to dive deeper into the mysteries of life.
This Full Moon is pushing and pulling on us emotionally to find a balance between these two very different energies. And we tend to make some pretty strong emotional declarations during this time, so the pressure is building up within us, and now is the time when this energy has to come out and be released in one way or another! Like a boiling pot of water, something has to overflow.
My best advice is to find constructive ways to release these overwhelming feelings through some sort of self-expression. So if you can talk to a friend and vent about how you are feeling, or maybe write in a journal. Or go somewhere private and vent out loud! Yell, Scream, or Cry out those feelings and let things go and release whatever is bothering you.
Full Moons are about exposing or illuminating issues that are already there, but that has not yet been dealt with.
The Full Moon will light up any conflict you might having right now and intensity it! With the Moon all shiny and full in the night sky, it is symbolic for any illumination that occurs in our own lives. But since these feelings and our Ah-ha moments are new and emotional, they can come out suddenly! It’s the right time to express ourselves and for these feelings to just come out into the open. But proceed with caution, since we are just learning ourselves what these energies are about, so we may be quite irrational and not make a lot of sense as of yet!
This Full Moon also is occurring right around the time that Venus and Uranus align which can add surprises and revelations. This alignment also connects to deeper feeling Pluto which can cause strong need to make some sort of changes that feels necessary.
