The Sun in Taurus is a time when we feel more sensual, receptive and determined. The energy of the sign of Taurus is more practical, grounded, and stable which definitely overall can be a great help with so many other Cosmic connections happening during this time speeding things way up. This helps us take a deeper look at the events unfolding around us, so we can look at any complicated situation with some good old-fashioned common sense. This sign teaches all of us how to defend ourselves and resist things, but also how to love in a deeper, sensual, and more intimate way, and appreciate the physical world and all its beauty.
This will be a month of relying on what’s always worked in the past but also moving forward with the times, it’s about integrating tradition with evolution in our lives. You will want to be more comfortable during this time as well, so set up a place to zen out and get all comfy and cozy for the next month to make sure you have somewhere safe to hang out while the Sun is in Taurus. This cycle shows us what stability and substance look like. We seem to be drawn to more practical matters now, so there’s not as much risk-taking happening usual in this energy. (However, mental Mercury is in the sign of Aries which does tend to give us some get up and go even under this energy.) With the Sun in Taurus, we have an opportunity to really value things in the material world and on a spiritual level both.
As the Sun moves through this sign, we get to see what it is to manifest our world here in this physical reality, as the seeds we have planted take root. Our determination and need for security can become quite strong. Taurus energy is about loyalty, being comfortable, using what’s been tried and true in the past, and sticking to what’s familiar. We value those who have stayed by our side in good and bad times and will honor them more so during this time.
We see the beauty in life and are more focused on what pleases the senses, as they are aroused and highly activated, so we have more appreciation for things like food, music, sex, entertainment, and just anything that feels pleasurable. Because we’re more receptive in this way we should make the time to stop and “smell the roses”, rather than be in a hurry and pass things by. Enjoy all the beautiful things life has to offer and learn to find something beautiful about your life and yourself while the Sun is in Taurus.
The shadow side of Taurus energy is we can be more possessive, especially with our children and partners, and we can act extremely stubborn and bullheaded. We must learn how to get out of our own way long enough at times and be willing to hear others ideas and opinions.
While the Sun is in Taurus we should be making plans and setting goals that will be built to last. Put away some money for a rainy day and for your future endeavors. This isn’t a good time to make some kind of life-altering decision, however. Just plan for now, and maybe give it until the end of May to make your next big move.
