While mindful, mental Mercury is in the sign of soulful Scorpio from December 1st through December 12, our thoughts and communications are more deep and intense, we can be extremely sharp, profound, and analytical. Our way of thinking can also be one-track minded, focused, and even obsessive at times. But we’re also more active, witty, resourceful, perceptive, positive, determined, and inventive, as our minds are capable of great mental focus and concentration. We can be much more direct and to the point when communicating, and sometimes even offensive, as we tend to say what we feel and refuse to sugar coat things!

The truth tends to be sought out around all that is hidden, unknown, or unseen! So we tend to pay attention and dig deeper, as our focus and thoughts are strong and profound. We may search for ways to be more motivated to go deeper about anything intellectual, so whatever we are thinking or talking about tends to be looked at more deeply, and we may not know when to stop or when enough is enough! Our intuition and psychic abilities are also very strong, and at times we are capable of profound insights, we have a way of seeing people and events for their true authentic nature, as we tend to feel people’s true intentions no matter what they are communicating. We don’t like anything that is superficial or fake, especially when communicating we favor deep more meaningful conversations.

Since the planet Mercury rules our thoughts and the way we communicate, our minds can be dominated by strong emotional undercurrents and desires with Mercury being in Scorpio, and this can overpower our way of thinking, especially around things like Sex. It is going to be a sexy time for sure under Scorpio’s influence, for all the signs! You might enjoy a good mystery or uncovering some sort of truth in any situation during this time, we also are more attracted to the occult and arts during this time.

ASTRO ALERT

Due to Mercury still being Retrograde (backward motion) while changing signs into Scorpio, we may continue to review or reassess our finances, relationships, motivations, and passions. This is an excellent period for getting in touch with our instincts, motivations, and more shadow-self. This is the time to explore your more intimate and emotional nature and just how it affects the way you make decisions and process. Our sensitivity levels will increase as well, as our emotional radar is strong. We need to watch for being overly paranoid mentally or perhaps reading negatively into what others are saying or communicating. Mercury Retrograde periods tend to send us to the past to further examine certain situations, or it brings in old hidden information, while in Scorpio, even more so!

A LOOK AHEAD

Starting December 12 and through Jan 4, 2019, Mercury will move back into the sign of Sagittarius, but we’ve already been dealing with this energy since Halloween through December 1st. So once again folks, our way of thinking can move way to fast and we can act impulsively, but once Mercury Moves back into the sign of Sagittarius it does help us to think more positively and have more hope about our lives and future!
