Venus Enters Libra

Venus is in Libra from August 6-September 9.

The Goddess of Love is shifting gears as it changes signs around the Zodiac Wheel every 5 weeks, and this time it’s landing in the sign it rules, the sign of charm and relationships, Libra! However, this energy can also be rather aggressive (Libra is also believed to be Co-Ruled by Uranus.) In love and money endeavors we will go after what we want during this cycle. But we generally speaking are ready to keep things peaceful and harmonious with our lovers and business partners and just in our life.

You may feel airy and somewhat detached while Venus is in Libra with friends and in life in general, but you can become obsessive about keeping your relationships good, especially your intimate ones and in your business partnerships. We can be quite accommodating with other people period, and more than willing to negotiate and compromise. Which is great for making deals and just getting along better.

Because we are especially idealistic about love under Venus in Libra, we don’t tend to see the issues in our relationships, as we can just ignore them instead and pretend everything is perfectly normal, therefore, we may not see how dependent, inconsistent, or superficial we are acting with our partners. We do not like unkind or shadowy behavior during this time, and it can totally turn us off because we are meant to balance the light and dark energies that are around us. We prefer for things to be done a certain way, and to avoid anything unpleasant we tend to ignore or look over important deeper issues that are playing out in our relationships, as this can be a strong time for denial.

It’s important not to ignore our partners or we can suffer in silence, secretly feeling resentful that nothing is getting addressed or changed. Speak up even if it is uncomfortable, that is breakthrough! Your reluctance will only trap you and then you can end up privately suffering while feeling you are the martyr for doing so. Resentments can build and later come between you and your lover or remember also business partners, once Venus shifts out of Libra in October and into more deeper thinking Scorpio.

This is a time when we appreciate anything that is artistic and beautiful. We can seriously spend some mola if we aren’t careful under these energies, so watch your wallet. We want to change our environment and make it more pleasant and beautiful to look at, especially in our home, as it is our sanctuary under this influence more so than usual, which makes it a great time for redecorating or making home improvements. But don’t forget the Retrogrades planets are at play right now, so we should wait until late August to make any major changes or even early September.
