New Moon in Aries

New Moon’s are a time of opportunity, and when something new can begin.

This particular New Moon is in fiery Aries, so it is quite strong and potent. This is actually the first New Moon of the “Astrological” New Year, which started on March 20 during the Spring Equinox.

Uranus the messenger and this New Moon both in Aries, make a connection that certainly can liven things up!

Our freedom and sense of independence become more important than usual. Certain generations are being affected quite strongly by the planet of revolution and freedom, Uranus already! This is why there’s such a strong resistance movement underway. And therefore some of you have already been experiencing a surge of energy, that’s pushing you to get out there and fight for certain causes no matter the cost. You need your freedom and space to do things your way!

During this New Moon, some folks can get quite a wake-up call!

This is a sudden awareness about your true calling, destiny, or higher purpose in life. Therefore it can bring in some challenges, but this can help you move past your fears and insecurities, so you’ll take a risk, a leap of faith perhaps, and go after what it is you truly want or desire! The Uranian influence surrounding this New Moon makes it much easier to surrender the ego-driven part of ourselves that doesn’t allow us to just flow with unexpected events so this can help us learn how to change. This particular New Moon is trying to teach us how to be excited about our path in life, and how to follow our passion and trust the Universe enough to let go of any control we think we have and surrender.

The Sun in Aries this month helps strengthen our willpower and desire.

This is a gift from the Cosmos that helps stir up our passions, which creates the fire inside us to move forward and manifest something hopefully new and exciting! Hooray! This is a sign that we can get moving forward again in some area of our life. Since March 22nd (and even back in February during the shadow Retrograde phase), we have been slowed down! As annoying as Mercury in Retrograde can be, it has been trying to help us reconnect with our deepest desires, as it’s brought up the past to learn from through both people and situations. Chiron is about to shift signs and move into the sign of Aries for the first time in 49 yrs on April 17th! With Chiron in Aries, we take an on our emotional wounds like Warriors, and are no longer going to be in the mood to feel victimized or held down by our pain! This new Chiron energy coming in can help us move away from our trauma like never before. So get ready folks it’s time to heal in a big way!

The sign of Aries is ruled by passionate Mars!

This reminds us to work on ourselves by doing something brave that helps us to be more true to who we are as individuals. Mars is currently in the sign of Capricorn, which helps us to be more focused, disciplined, and willing to use the Aries fire so we can move forward in the right direction and therefore be more productive.

There’s a very strong Saturn influence hanging over this New Moon as well.

Saturn’s influence helps us to be less impatient and impulsive and work on being more strategic and work on long-term planning. On the other side of these energies, we don’t want to let our fears or insecurities stop us from being brave enough to take action. So to make this a successful New Moon we should blend the Aries and Capricorn energies together by taking strategic risks, putting in the time to do the work, and trusting the process the Universe puts us through, no matter what that looks like.
