February begins right in the middle of Eclipse Season as the Lunar Eclipse in Leo just occurred the last day of January.

This is a strongly animated energy with the recent Eclipse occurring in the sign of Leo, it was also conjunct the asteroid Goddess Ceres. This means we are being made more aware of our own creativity, and are tapping into this Divine Feminine energy, as this affects all of us so both men and woman. It’s a time to develop the more feminine side of your personality and see what your true potential just might be. Being halfway through the Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere means we are slowly shifting from darkness to light. This means we have learned a lot of information thus far on a deeper soul level, and now are slowly developing and processing that information to bring out into our everyday lives once the Spring Equinox occurs.

One of the more strong planetary shifts happening this month is on Feb. 8th, when URANUS leaves it’s tense connection to PLUTO or what I’ve referred to over the years as the “SQUARE”! Since 2009, these two have been going in and out of strong tense connections together, as they have made several meetings from 2012-2015. So finally, we are turning a corner and getting away from this more intense aspect! This one has changed lives and for some folks, it has created the most challenging times of your lives. So good riddance to this energy!

The partial Solar Eclipse will occur on February 15th in the sign of Aquarius, (but remember this affects all of us.) This Eclipse will make an interesting connection to Aquarius ruling planet, Uranus. This energy can bring up strong reminders to value whatever freedom or privileges we do have and open our minds to different new ways of doing things and to be open to new perspectives. This is only a partial Eclipse, so it’s visible for the folks in places like Antarctica and Argentina.

The sign of Aquarius is about being cool, calm, and friendly while remaining unattached emotionally to other folks just enough to do what needs to be done. This influence teaches us how to not let our emotions rule our actions and to take care of business. So there will be a stronger desire to work on companionship with others during this time. Also, topics around health and medicine are going to become more important, especially mental health issues and woman’s health.

The North Node of destiny is currently in the sign of Leo, so during this Solar Eclipse, we are being asked by the Universe to work on healing our emotional wounds around betrayal and jealousy, to better follow our true life path and live out our real purpose. We do this by learning how to accept and love ourselves more. Letting go of resentments is where you start to do this kind of work, forgive yourself and others both and move forward.

It will get easier to do any kind of forgiving and letting go of differences by Feb 18th, when the Sun enters Pisces, the sign of compassion and acceptance. There will be five planetary bodies floating around in the ethereal waters of Pisces at that time, oh wow, can you say ESCAPE and RETREAT! There will be a strong urge to get away from it all as we draw near the end of the Astrological Year. Pisces is the considered the actual last sign of the Zodiac and the Sun in Aries is the beginning of our Astrological Calendar.

During the last part of the month, the energies are going to get heated up folks, so be aware and careful when aggressor Mars meets up with more relaxed Neptune on Feb 17th. This is one of those influences that just of becomes part of the backdrop of our lives until the end of the month, therefore it is important to not take easy ways out to get rest because you might feel like giving up on things all together. You may have to discover innovative ways to help keep you motivated during the last week of February.

Take it easy this month and get real with yourself about what truly makes you happy, and go after it with logic and common sense, but also make sure to take care of yourselves, we are in Eclipse Season and that can be very draining on all levels.
