1st Full Moon of 2017

Full Moon Approaching

The Full Moon comes together on January 12th, and it can help show you what decisions to make and what to do next with your life.

This is the First Full Moon of 2017, and it occurs on January 12th early in the morning, in the sign of Cancer. This is a strong energy illuminating Earth, so if we harness this energy we can use it to our advantage.

This Full Moon has a message about each of us making an important decision, finally, it’s time to make one and move forward again since Mercury was in Retrograde for the last month of so. Pay attention to this shift, it should be happening very soon. You may have to give something up to get what you want. People are confused and anxious to finally move forward into the New Year since 2016 was rough waters. Plus with the added restlessness we are all feeling this week due to Mercury coming out of Retrograde and a “Grand Cross “forming in the cosmos, it’s just a lot of energy to take on really.

Before we can move forward something needs to be cleared up first and let go, usually this is something from your past. So many of my clients are dealing with some major issues in their life currently, everything from major job changes to divorce, and much more. This Full Moon can help assist you in finding a path that leads to success in some way.

But there’s a catch!

The Moon is also involved in what’s called a “Grand Cross“, which can create major frustrations when making important decisions or taking actions.

The “Grand Cross” has 4 planets involved and they’re all making tense connections to each other. So this energy may be challenging and it doesn’t seem to lead to a solution to our problems. And to add to the intensity of it all, this energy will start to be felt today, which is just a few days before the Full Moon, and that means emotions are going to be highly charged up and strong through the 12th. Some folks will be put into situations they’re not ready for if they like it not! And some folks already have.

But for every part of this energy that challenges us, there’s also something positive that can come out of it. This particular Full Moon energy can help give you an extra push to make things happen, even if you don’t think you need it. So try to go with the energies. Whatever you decide to do or not during this First Full Moon of 2017, your unconscious thoughts will still play out and become something eventually, it’s just best to be aware and focus on what it is you do want in your life and mainly what you want to let go of. For some the changes are going to be monumental, as it can cause life-changing and long-lasting effects in your future, so focus on the decisions you make now. And it is just as important to stay focused as best you can on what you are letting go of.

The Moon in Cancer generally favors the following activities: Domestic activities, those that involve awareness of personal needs. Home decor, and family get-togethers.
