“Taking Care of Business”

Mercury the planet that rules our lower mind, the way we think and process our thoughts is shifting into very slow-moving, methodical Capricorn today, so you might notice your thinking is more slowed down and you can feel like planning everything out. It will remain in Capricorn longer than usual due to its upcoming Retrograde cycle, so we might wanna get used to this energy for the next three weeks because in mid-January will have to deal with it again for nearly a month all the way through mid-February.

Yes, Mercury is preparing now to slow down as it goes into the shadow of its Retrograde cycle starting Dec 19th and then goes into its actual Retrograde cycle around Jan 4th. … But you might notice the slowdown happening already with lots of folks complaining about electronic and communication snafus!

While Mercury is in Capricorn, our way of thinking becomes methodical and we become focused, which means we appear to be sober and practical. It’s easier to concentrate under this energy, so a lot of the work we need to get done can be now. If we feel useful or that we have a sense of purpose we will get more done. Our conversations aren’t as lively and are more realistic and focused on taking care of business, as we are all about making money and playing by the rules more so, which doesn’t match up so much so well with the Sun in Sagittarius at least through Dec. 23rd, because under that energy we want to do just the opposite and break the rules, so we might feel torn between doing what is expected of us and what we want.

Since Mercury rules over our thought process we also tend to be more logical, organized, and orderly. So this does help us to be able to sort out what is relevant, important, and essential. We keep things very real and our speech is no-nonsense and very precise and to the point. We should be careful to not become too rigid in our thinking under this in influence, as we can come across as cold or harsh. For some there is a very thin line between what’s real and fantasy, and it’s all too easy to forget our dreams under this energy, so here is a kind reminder to not lose sight of what it is you really want out of life, don’t let that go in your heart, and you will do just fine.
