Spring Equinox – Welcome

Spring Equinox – March 20th, 2015

Just 13 hours after the Solar Eclipse in Pisces occurs the Sun will shift into fiery Aries, starting the “Spring Equinox”,  which will be this evening here in the states.

The Vernal Equinox as it’s called is a time of new beginnings and a day of light and dark this year. The Equinox is when the Sun’s light slowly grows… now through the Summer Solstice. Our lives get lived out loud more so now, as we crawl back out to the land of the living and get outdoors again.

This time of year there are many interesting old traditions and festivities that are celebrated all over the World, to honor the Goddess of Renewal or Spring…along with the earth’s ability to regenerate. The season is full of importance for many reasons. It’s a time of awakenings, beginnings, and positive energy beating out the dark.

Many celebrate this season with religious or spiritual celebrations, but it all stems from the fact that this is first and foremost a major Astrological Event. Just a little fact: an Eclipse and the Spring Equinox don’t occur on the same day every year!

Because a Solar Eclipse obscures the light of the Sun and the Spring Equinox is about the Suns light expanding, we have a unique interesting event. The Sun moves from the deeply sensitive, flowing waters of feeling Pisces into action packed, fiery Aries. From the Sun’s light being blocked out, to the promise of a greater more warm illumination and life changing energy.

If you’ve had a hard year like many of us with the Uranus-Pluto Squares energy running amuck, consider this event to be a New, New Year in 2015… think of it as a new Astrological year. Be inspired and in the knowing that this is a new time, a renewed energy that’s coming in to take over the shadowy vibes we’ve been in… on all levels. May the Sun’s warmth and Springs energy bring about new beginnings in many ways for you and lead to better times. ~Ruby
